Is the station going to break the bank and get some promotional MJH Zubaz for the people?

What if Clinton or Obama came through town and wanted to come on for a sports segment to talk about how they follow Chicago teams?

Would you have them on?

Why did Chet replace Carmen on the weekend shows? Does Chet Coppock have a job on AM1000 because he has nude photos of management?

Seriously, Chet has made every program he is on worse, specifically the Bears pregame and the Sat/Sun Talking Baseball (or whatever the heck they are called) shows and I find myself switching to UFO "Strangers in the Night" (the remix version, where the songs are in the order as actually played during that tour--Button 48 me) as I cook the family breakfast on Sat and Sun mornings. I am not a big fan of Carm hosting a general show, but I thought he did a good job on those shows. It was obvious that Carm studied and prep'd and HE DID NOT MAKE HIMSELF THE FOCUS OF THE SHOW LIKE CHET DOES.

P.S. Kudos on the ratings win.

Why is the 6:00 pm - 7:00 timeslot called the Postgame Show?

From 2 - 6 on AM 1000 is Mac, Jurko & Harry (on my radio anyway), a sports talk-show.

Where is the game? PostGAME?

Perhaps calling the 6 - 7 hour something more appropriate (wrap-up show, re-cap show, highlight show... etc).

Thanks, D. McNeil, LOVE the MJH "game"! LOL LOL LOL

Whats in store for us P-1's this coming year? New games, gimmicks? Different things with the Cubs Sox bets, maybe with listener participation? More or less local or Mothership programming? Anything for sure, in the works, surprises? Inquiring minds need to know...

Mac,

With the growing popularity of the Waddle & Silvy show, why not make the post-game show a "Best of" combination of MJH and Waddle & Silvy (I guess you could lump a little Tirico in there too and call it a daily wrap up show or something...or not)?

Maybe then that 6-7 hour holds more listeners who may not ever get to hear the Swaddle show.

Or just give Finji his own hour to sink or swim.

Mac,

Why is it that for a few years after you left WSCR you seemed to have disdain for Mike North (referring to him as Hot Dog boy), now it seems as though you all are in bed with each other (not in a Beef Rockmore way) , with him referencing that you sent an email to BeBe to give kudos for the Paxson interview?

I PREDICT................

You MAC will be back on SCR when your contract expires. Why would I say that you ask? dunno.....other than the fact that the Score will be looking to replace its "headline guy" with another Big name in Chicago Radio. Cuz we all know North....HE GONE!

Think of the MILLIONS MACKEE!!

Is this a Possibility?????????????????????????

But Dude.....You gotta stick to your commitment to excellence.

You are not a pretty man!

In addition, Mac pinned the elimimination of HFC and Monsters on some machiavellian actions by north. After Jiggs was fired at the SCORE, Dan had him on MJH to commiserate about their long time "friend".

The relationship seemed to turn the corner when north called to congratulate Dan on his 20 years in the buisness. Sometimes it is these types of little gestures that make all the difference in relationships that we think are dead. I don't have a problem if he is willing to accept an olive branch extended in earnest.

North is a tool, the kind you have no idea what it's used for.

He commented on this in a previous Ask Mac. He would leave ESPN so yes, it's a possibility. Who wouldn't follow the money, I bet he'd take over some ESPN behind the glass guys as well.

There is no reason not to leave. Mac built that station from the ground up. He proved that quality local programming would draw listeners. Yet the station continues to treat the local programming as filler between its national shows. Corporate ESPN views this station no differently than they view their outlets in Wichita, Albaquerque, Bozeman etc. They have no real loyalty to Mac or his show and he should treat the relationship accordingly.

I agree, but he doesn't seem like the guy to me that would throw money away. So, who would pay him more?

I am still hoping that Mac is working on a suggestion from this site and teaming up with North to go Dan Patrick on the local sports radio landscape. I'm not suggesting they are on the air together, but rather, build their own prepackaged sports network to sell to the highest bidder.

Mac, besides the current team, can you name your top 5 wish list if you had to come up with a new co-host.

FYI, like the jacket, it looks warm and thats the point of getting a coat.

There is no ESPN radio in Bozeman. One of the AM channels carries "Game Night" overnites during the fall and winter, but thats it.

Than why not get a coat made of a much more efficient material?
