Post subject: | The truth |
I always tell this board this truth. Not once have I written a falsehood to curry favor among you guys or to protect anybody in the Emily Barr Center. There has been no suspension. I'm sick as a dog (what's your story? ... sorry ... Aerosmith's fourth LP came rushing to my brain). Zederman is out sick as well. Nobody has been suspended. Starting to look like my description of the Super Bowl's "Radio Row" as "Bacteria Row" is closer to the truth than I ever realized. |

I didnt listen to the postgame shown but according to Stu it was ZFinji who was in main question. Mac, you have pointed out in that thread that you are unhappy with management. Was this all a joke? What happened to Finji? |

Finjaroo was not suspended...just taken off the postgame show for a couple days. I talked to him earlier today. He went home dejected after learning it was going to be for more than the initial "ruling on the field" of one show. I encourage you to ask my management team to come forward here to explain. I agree with you that, as our audience, you are "owed" that much. But... I don't make the rules. LJC reads this stuff almost everyday. Perhaps he'd be willing to address his audience if you pushed a little. Call him and leave a message or shoot him an e-mail. Am I unhappy with management? Sometimes. I don't agree with running ANY business by putting the fear of God in employees... punishing all the time... and letting guys hang regarding their "sentence." I sat for three or four days last summer wondering if I was getting whacked. That included July 4. It's a crappy way to treat people, especially those who are productive. |

I dont personally feel like looking any of this up, but I absolutely guarantee if you give me an email address and/or a phone number linking directly to your employer I would be more than happy to give my advice/input coming from a very loyal 4 year listener as long as it didnt go to an automated message machine. |

The Machiavellian way they seem to run things works but it doesn't always produce the best results. What is a good way to approach them? Should I demand they get their asses out from behind the curtain, strap on a sack, and give me some answers? Or do I have to ask them nicely? Really I have no right to the answers I'm seeking. They are free to run things the way they want and I can respect that to some degree. However it gives me very little reason to be loyal to them or ESPN, which is ultimately what they may seek. By not saying anything, they are actually speaking volumes. The truth would be better and less scandalous than what I can conjure up in my head. They make it a bigger deal than what it is and I may agree with their decisions. Right now I just think they are being turds and they have the power to reenforce or change that perception. I don't know why they don't. |

Any problem(s) you had/have with me are exactly that. They are your problems. I'd also like to add ESPN has done better in the ratings compared to the Score. Some of that is because of the on air talent. I think the shows are better but also the relationships your talent has with the listeners are better. If the ESPN managment wants to treat the listeners like dummies the listeners may want to return the favor. |

If the ESPN managment wants to treat the listeners like dummies the listeners may want to return the favor. Agree with this exactly. The ESPN personalities seem to be far more outgoing/accessible. This is why I would expect them to continue their success. Now if only their management would follow in the footsteps of their hosts/backstage setup guys. |

After seeing Danny Z's picture with Adam Sandler (and seeing Knocked Up), I'm sure Walking Tall has a case of pink eye. |

That certainly sounds like some sort of punishment to me (especially when Juday says during the show that he's currently "in for Ben Finfer"). Maybe it's not a suspension, but it's definitely a benching, and you generally are not benched if everyone is satisfied with what you are doing. Either he did or said something to piss someone off or "they" think he's not doing a good enough job (and how do you screw up at playing clips). |

Did Ben Wallace and Adrian Griffin ask for a second day off for him after the initial day off? |

Someday... you will have that wish granted... then you will be down to only two wishes. Might I suggest Columbia Medical Center for the transexual surgery you've been coveting for wish No. 2. |

Mac, "Things are just a bit tense right now with another CBA meeting scheduled for Wednesday... on the heels of MJH just having been sat down with local bosses last week, and national bosses Friday morning in Phoenix." ------------ How's the CBA meeting going? Still upset that the local and national bosses disagree with you? I guess this means they aren't members of the Mac ALS. |

Good sense of humor Kid Cairo. I like that. SID, you may get your wish, too. Your assessment of how my show is viewed by those in charge is spot on. Good call. |

Mac Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm trying to figure out the difference between being suspended and "just taken off the postgame show for a couple days" as punishment. |
