Do you care about local programming on ESPN 1000? Do you feel that it's fair to your listeners that expect to turn in and hear the on-air personalities they are loyal to mysteriously gone with no reason? Do you feel that it's a good business move to make your audience question whether or not there was a suspension EVERY time one of them aren't in the studio unexpectedly? |

I'd be shocked if either had the stones to reply to any of this. At least not directly here to us. I could picture them crabbing to Mac about his "message board buddies" though.. I understand that 1000 is a nat'l outfit, but good business is tweaking things here and there depending on what works. When I managed a pizza shop in the mall, the display setup called for a certain way and look to pizzas. When we discovered that pepperoni sold better than anything, we adjusted for such. When I was told to put things back "the way they should be," I explained the method to the madness, and how sales increased. Suddenly the moves we had made were ok. I know thats far from running a radio station, but there are many paralells. Local programming does better here. Sure Mike and Mike do well, but look at what they're up against. Silvy and Waddle is getting lots better, but noon-2 still sucks. 'The Show' after MJH has quite a head of steam as well, yet thats chopped up with a lame half hour of PTI. I dunno...I understand that they have to do certain things and why they do certain things, then some days something is said or done and I wonder how far they have thier heads up thier asses. |

For Justin Craig: 1. Why haven't you put a local show in the noon-to-2 PM slot? Are there plans to replace the Mike Tirico shitsperience at any point in the near future? 2. The Show sounds great. Why not relegate PTI to some time after midnight? 3. Sports radio is often biting and cynical, sometimes rude and sometimes crude. Have you attempted to compromise with Bristol concerning their dictates regarding on-air decorum? Or are you part of the Radio Disney Keep it Clean team? 4. How much authority do you actually have, and how much do you actually exercise? For Jim Pastor: 1. Your handling of personnel matters (suspensions, for starters) has left many of us wondering if you actually give a rat's ass about the listeners. Do you? |

For Jim Pastor: Many people suspect Mr. Pastor that you are, to put it lightly, an ass. Your comment? |

Or about the talent for that matter. You read what Mac said about 7/4. That was a bullshit way to treat an employee. |

Perhaps it would be considered some sort of confidentiality breech or something like that, but it is naive of you to think that listeners don't notice when an on-air personality mysteriously disappears. I'd just like an explanation about why those who may be "in the penalty box" are treated on the air as if they don't exist. If they are sick or on vacation, someone says as much. If there is any other reason, then they simply vanish and listeners are left to speculate why. Why not leave it up to the "personality" to decide what, if anything, should be explained on-the-air, regarding their disappearance? Naturally, I assume that management would need to clear it, but an act such as that would show that you do not believe that your listeners are fools. |

That might exacerbate the problem. |

Jim or Justin: One simple question---why is Harry on the air in a major market or any market for that matter? |

Do you guys salute the ESPN flag and resite the Pledge of Allegiance to Bristol each morning? How tough has it been to get that bastard McNeil to abide by this ritual? Do you think you can ever get MJH to conform to the ESPN/Bristol cult? Like Indiana Jones, you have to make Mac drink Chris Berman's blood. Once you get Mac everybody else at the station will follow. |

Mike Tirico SUCKS and then when Michelle is on I am off to find something else to listen to. Why not local programming from 12-2? |

Why are suspensions a necessary part of your management style? Are you aware that modern management thinking has developed many alternative ways to motivating employees that do not include suspensions? Have you ever taken a human behavior or motivation in management class? Do you remember anything about those classes? Please give us an example of a time when you actually motivated someone over the age of 14 by punishing them? Do you believe positive communications with your employees and customers is an important part of being a successful manager? |

Keep in mind the founder of the company they work for has his brains on ice right now. |

More local programming is what we all want. I think Carm , JD and Hoody should be on after MJH. Take the national stuff and put it on Late in the night. I think you have some young talent ready to make the move in Chicago as some of the old talent in this town is just that , OLD... I also think Chet's time has come and gone in this town and that time slot should be given to an up and comer in your stable of young talent. |

Justin, Pull your head out of your ass. Put Carm and JD either 12-2 or 6-9. Then you can run all your PTI and Stephen A Smith crap, or maybe a MJH post-game show. And if you're just following "company orders", you're a pussy. |
