Post subject:  Hey Big Fan: Remedial section available?

Just wondering if there's a way for those incapable of lucid thought in their own private section. You could call it "CSFMB for the terminally stupid." I expect this from mopes like "Score Is Doomed" but others -- usually thoughtful posters -- followed suit.

How anybody, despite how deep-rooted his/her disdain may be for me, could interpret what I posted in the "...changed your life" thread as complaining about my job or that I possessed a "woe is me" attitude is beyond me. I was making a statement that echoed the sentiments of another poster who said he can't believe how much time he devotes to such frivilous activity as consuming mass amounts of sportsradio. I was making fun of myself and my craft. That's all.

For the record, I wouldn't trade jobs with anybody in Chicago. Not the Mayor. Not Mark Giangreco. Not the CEO of pick any Chicago corporation. I am very happy, professionally and personally. I would be happier even still if the terminally stupid just disappeared. Thank you, in advance.

Mac, I think you are being a bit harsh stating the responses as that of the "terminally stupid." Sarcasm is hard to detect on the internet. Some people thought you were being facetious, some werent sure. I didnt really read any overly critical posts about your comment besides that of the idiot, Score is Doomed, which you mentioned. I think you need to read the responses again. Just because people were commenting/giving advice on your post, doesnt mean they have some sort of deep rooted hatred of you. Most of the responses were meant to be positive, they just didnt realize you were kidding.

I wasn't kidding. I was admitting that what I do -- in the great scheme of things -- is irrelevant. I understand the nature of message boards and fourms like this... but I tire frompeople seeing what want to see while missing the message that clearly was intended. Critism always is welcomed and I think those who've been listening to me a long time would say that's accurate; just don't try to make something out of nothing. It's old and boring.

Im still not sure what responses you are upset at. You said in your next life you want to do something meaningful. People responsded with how to look at that statement with some perspective, and everything else you do thats meaningful. Im not sure why you take exception to those kind of posts, especially because as you say you are very receptive to criticism and that was anything but.

I see the 1000 already has a show employing the terminally stupid, why it's the MJH show. Grow a pair and quit your f'ng whining. As far as "old and boring" goes, we have your show. I know XM and Sirius are grateful to you for driving people to satellite radio.
As far as your infantile insults, it shows what a minimally creative person you really are, as does your show in the past year.
You come here to get your ass licked and can't really stand any heat. You're a ball less windbag, whose future isn't so bright.

SID is a model of contradiction. He says people are thrilled to have been driven to satellite radio, by guys like Mac. Well, if it's so great, why are you still listening to MJH and commenting so often about what they say??? Makes no sense. I think Mac shows that he values his job, by the way he prepares for shows and steers the ship. If he was like Jurko last year, just showing up, unprepared, and relying on others to carry him-(I say last year, because I have noticed a better effort in the last couple months)then I could see wondering about whether or not he values his position and appreciates all that goes with it. But I have never wondered about Mac in that sense at all.

I don't bother listening to the blather they put out anymore. I was responding to his childish insult.
BTW< I said the sat companies were happy and they are. For those that say MJH beats everyone, yes they do, but then again 90% of the demo group doesn't listen to the show. So please stop with the demo nonsense thinking this show has a huge audience.

Then why have a thought about something you don't even listen too douchebag? Your an attention whore on this board and Mac was stupid for taking your bait. I still can't figure out why your mom and dad let you on this thing uless you tell them your looking up your Webkinz file. This clown boxer listens to Kathy and Judy for his sports coverage what else
would you expect from the douchebag.

Hey Mac, thicken up that skin a little bit.
We know SID is a bit of an angry man, screw it, forget about that guy.
I don't think anyone else had anything terribly negative to say about your post.
Mac, you should see some of the beatings I take around here for my posts.
That being said, you're a public figure, and everything you say will be folded, spindled, mutilated, dissected, interpreted, reworded, paraphrased, and misquoted. It's all part of that whole fame thing.

Thanks for the clarity Mac. "Making something out of nothing" is what sports talk radio is. Also you may want to check out the "old and boring" part of your statement and MJH could but together some new segments for the summer. Just to keep things fresh. Note that statements posted or email written are often difficult to put emotion too. On the other hand when somebody gets their shorts in a bunch and makes a point as clear as you have in this section it makes it much easier to interpret.

Hope you have a better day today. From someone who goes back to your producer days. Keep you BP under control.

What are you looking for, Vince? All radio shows try to think of new segments that will resonate with their audience. Coming up with creative, interesting new segements is arguably the toughest challenge.

Any ideas?

If this is what you think great ideas are for radio, might as well keep your ideas to yourself.

I don't have a problem with Mac (I'm sure he's a good guy), I just don't like his show. And while I don't particularly care for Score is Doomed as a poster, I think the vitriol he spews is a somewhat welcome change from the normal slurpiness and butt-kissery that goes on in this section.

To play Devils Advocate Kid, do you think that if Bernstein posted on here at all that the butt kissery would go on in that section?
