I have to once again take Bruce Levine to task with his exchange with MJH yesterday. Bruce became upset as Jurko kept pressing the issue about the schuffling of the line up and Soriano moving to the 4 spot and Bruce gets upset and won't answer the question. Does Bruce work for the Cubs or ESPN?

Why does Bruce come off as a pissy , whining guy all the time? Mac seems to give him a pass more often than not and does not challenge Bruce enough to give the listeners a straight answer.

I'd like to see Mac get on the guys ass a bit and get the answers to the questions.

It is what it is. Bruce is a colleague of Mac's. If you expect Mac to all of a sudden start asking Bruce tougher questions and calling him out for beating around the bush and/or not giving direct answers you are wasting your time.

When Levine actually starts making out the Cubs lineup, I will ask the toughest questions he's ever going to be asked.

From what I've heard, when Bruce is pissy and the guys press him it just gets worse.

Dan ,

If your baseball expert comes on and defends the Cubs at every turn and feels the need to protect Lou, Lilly, Soriano and won't give you straight answers than why have the guy on?

You sounded frustrated with Bruce after the interview and I was like "WTF"!!! Give us the answer.

I thought Bruce did fill out the line-up card.

I was in Blackhawks pre-game mindset so refresh my memory. What exactly is/was the "straight answer" Levine would not give? Was it a question that required his speculation? I bet it was.

this is all because he writes for vineline. it is an outrage. he has no journalistic integrity.

I generally like the segments with Bruce, but he often does seem like an overly-sensitive little brat. I didn't know who he was until I heard him on MJH, but after hearing him over the years, I'm not surprised he's the guy responsible for the infamous (and ridiculous) "without me, you wouldn't have a job" line.

Levine's temperament reflects what happens to guys after they turn 50. We just can't keep our cool as much as you young bucks.

With your White Sox looking the way they do the idea of the Hawks mindset might be the way to go this baseball season.

I won't spilt hairs with you Mac. I just think you and the audience deserve a little more respect from your baseball expert. That's all I'm saying . I like Bruce and I think he is the best of what Chicago has to offer as far as an MLB insider but his act gets a bit tiresome. If either team had a win at this point maybe I wouldn't be making an issue out of it.

As Col Jessup once said "I want answers"!

Good Post Good Dolphin, I wish Mac would have given better answers, than what he posted. It just sounds like Bruce gets the most protection than anybody at ESPN Radio. Those answers don't sound like something Mac would type. He may be the best in the business, of course you don't hear that nationally.

I do sometimes somebody would call this guy out and teach him a lesson on how to have some journalistic intregity in part to the Cubs.

I do have to agree on this. When Bruce is questioned about something going on with the Cubs he does get pissy to the point where he just shuts down. I remember game 1 with Woody hitting the first batter and Bruce came on the show the next day and said he meant to do that, because that was payback for an earlier Cub player that got hit. Harry I believe was quick to point out that there was no way this would be the reason for the hit batter, and Bruce than got all pissed off. Tell him to relax and breathe, or get another sports guys. I know he is "THE BEST IN THE BUISNESS" but he might also be the moodiest.

Levine has a terrible radio voice and he's terrible on the radio so he's 2-for-2.
