I think that I'm guilty of still having one of the worst jerseys of old bad players. I still have my Rodney Peete Eagles jersey circa 1996. but thankfully I finally upgraded to a Brian Westbrook jersey this past December. I love the topic though. I'd like to see some more guilty admissions from anyone else. Thanks MJH!

I am the proud, proud mind you, owner of a game worn 1995 James Baldwin gray road jersey.

Screw replicas, I don't want to see a "Grossman" jersey on the field on the lakefront unless he's warming the visitor's bench.

Oh Jeez...a Rodney Peete Eagles jersey...that's awesome  I forgot he was even on the Eagles.

I can't remember which game it was last season, but I remember seeing a guy in the crowd at Soldier Field wearing an Enis jersey.

That guy needs to get a new one off of eBay or at Kohl's during one of their 50% sales...anything to replace an Enis jersey.

Typical Eagles fan. Dumber than a box of really, really unintelligent rocks. Hey, the next time I have a spare 30 seconds, maybe we can discuss the great winning tradition of this woebegone franchise.

Hey stoneroses86. Do you always beat on someone when they're already down? I've suffered enough already. Jeezh!...and you're a typical New York fan...chest thumping know-it-all. I appreciate the comment though. Let the trash talking begin...the Giants are going down this year. You watch!!!

Top that for lame and outdated.

I'm sure someone here can dig up a photo of me with DEP, WR, and Hawkeye in my Bears Marcus Robinson 88 jersey. I'll continue to wear it well into my 40's because it is an authentic and not a replica.

Now that The Bears have Marty Booker back everyone can dig up his old jersey too. He was at least decent when he was here before. We'll see what happens though.

Hey it's better than having a Mike Mamula jersey dude...

oh the days...of the QB competition between Rodney Peete and Ty Detmer.
And Bobby Hoying came along...and peetered out. Then it was Doug Pederson until finally...McNabb...and then everything was set in place for the Eagles.

Thanks W_Z. Wow...I just had flashbacks to one of the worst time periods in Eagles football (there have been plenty). I remember thinking at one point that Bobby Hoyung was the future. Whew...makes me relieved that they drafted McNabb.

i still remember citaldi ripping lurie for that signing, along with thousands of other eagles fans.

i think a lot of people thought hoying was the future, but they used and abused his ass. he had no chance. they had no offensive line or anything back then, just a very confused and pissed off-all-the-time looking ray rhodes on the sidelines.

and then there was ricky watters...

don't feel bad about that; hell i wanted a tommy barnhardt jersey back then.

i mean, all we ever seemed to do was punt anyway.

Is there any other city in the world where so many adults wear sports jerseys so much? I have only lived in 6 major cities, so that's not a fair sized sample of experience, but I haven't seen one that compares. Sure there are sports geeks and goobers in every town who wear jerseys to games, but Chicago seems to have more than its share of adults who wear them on the street, to work, etc.. It's like part of the sports fan culture here. I don't get it.

Europeans frequently wear soccer jerseys. The jerseys either have collars and look like polos or are collarless and look like t-shirts so it is not as obvious. They also frequently wear team scarves even when they are not going to a games.
