Shultzzy posted in another thread that the station rule is only one call per 30 days. I never have heard that. It certainly isn't an MJH rule. "Star" callers are welcome more than once a week. When I see Jason from Chatham or Oak Park Vandy or Elmhurst Steve go up on the computer, I'm ready to punch them in. Good callers are a rare commodity and there is no rule against their frequent participation on the Afternoon Saloon. |

Thanks for the kind words Mac. I always try to make sure that when I call, I have something to contribute, with facts and stats to back up what opinions I express. Plus, if possible, I like to interject some humor. Whenever possible, at Jurko's expense. He takes it like a champ, though kid- That's what it's all about... |

Frank-I feel more compelled to give thought to what I'm contributing to a radio station that has thousands of people listening, than I do to the message board, where a few hundred people might peruse whatever is written. But I do try to give thought to my comments here as well. But probably not as much. Most of what I see here is a lot of sniping back and forth between people who have differing opinions/ or rooting interests. Or people who like to rail against on air personalities because they are jealous of the money they make or the job they have, that the poster wishes he/she might have instead. But there are also some people who offer intelligent. well articulated thoughts and I enjoy reading and commenting on those threads. People who choose to just comment on the offerings of others, rather than offering thoughts of their own, seem cowardly and boring. |

I personally want to thank all of you Elmhurst Steve types out there because it seems that there has been a recent incline in redundance with the callers as of late. I understand that not everyone listens to all 4 hours of the show everyday, but i still think that even if you listen to a few minutes here or there a day you know that someone has already called in to say they don't like Soriano hitting leadoff or Wood as the closer. If you want to express you opinion, have something different to bring to the table! |

If you guys didnt make your callers sit on hold forever through breaks and shit like that, Im sure you might get more entertaining callers. Not everyone wants to sit on hold for 45 mins to tell a funny story. |

Chris in Joliet, they have to make callers wait, so we can get an interview that nobody cares about or a replay of interview. I think they would like to take more calls, but things sometimes come up. On Critics at Extra Large, I think they should just have that during football season, because it is hard to watch baseball every day and probably they get most of their stuff on the weekend and it's summer so you probably won't watch much television. |

Integrity of the segment be dammed, I'd like to give Harry a thumbs down for this All Star coaching staff whining. Honestly, who gives a shit who the all star coaches are? If Pineilla weren't coaching the Cubs, or he didn't have ties with the Yankees, he probably wouldn't care anyway. Regardless, its silly and I'm sad to see its gotten as much airtime as it has. |
