The Beatles - 1 is stupid. It's almost exclusively their bubble gum pop music. No Peppers, and I think only Let it Be from Let it Be, and I dont think any Abbey Road. |

U2 Best of 80s or Best of 90s should definately be on there if Nirvana is...Eagles Greatest Hits should be a lot higher...I know sales aren't everything, but it's the best selling album of all time... |

Bruce, he blows. You can leave him of of any list of the greatest and it is just alright with me. But no Zeppelin, that is a travesty. For the most part, Yahoo lists blow. |

It seems silly to me to list the "25 best Rock & Roll Albums" and then have 90% of them are "Best of"/"Greatest Hits". The 25 best albums should be the 25 best single-session albums. Otherwise, it's like comparing each band's playlist on an iPod. |

The Greatest Hits albums with the Red and Blue borders were much better, and had many more songs. |

These should be real albums, not greatest hits compilations. No Rush Moving Pictures or 2112? No U2 The Joshua Tree? What kind of list is this? |

What kind of list is this? It's a list of "Best Of" albums. They've already done the best albums of all time, so they're just trying something different to fill space. |

I never heard of the band "Various Artists" If you wanted something from Motown, why not the best of The Temptations. Also missing Legend: The Best of Bob Marley, Best of Van Morrison (but that may be a personal favorite). maybe even the best of the Dead? |

As one of the biggest deadheads on the board, Im not annoyed that their's isnt on the list. Their live cd's are where its at. I completely agree with Marley. Probably the biggest omission on the list for my personal taste. |

You've got it wrong. Clarence blows, Bruce plays the guitar. It is a little early for the heat to be getting to your head. The Boss is great. |

The Beatles "Let it Be" isn't even the best "Let It Be" album |

XTC - Rag and Bone Buffet Talking Heads - Sand in the Vaseline. Rush - I forgot the title... Gold CD? I have it, I just can't remember the name of it. Jethro Tull - Acoustic Hits. You could also choose the 3CD box set that came out in 1989. Chateau D'Isaster Tapes is one of the CDs in there and it's got some gems. |

I will cast a vote for Guns N Roses debut album, Appetite for Destruction. I second Hawkeye Vince, we need at least something from the Canadian power trio Rush. Top 5 Rush albums: 1. 2112 2. Farewell to Kings 3. Fly by Night 4. Permanent Waves 5. Rush |

While we're on the subject...I hate it when "Greatest Hits" complilations feature glaring omissions (how could the Pretenders Greatest not include Mystery Achievement?), re-mixes (Radio Free Europe on REM's Eponymous), re-makes (usually due to legal issues with a previous label ala Badfinger), live versions of the best songs (You Really Got Me on Come Dancing with The Kinks), radio-edits versions (Won't Get Fooled Again on The Who's Greatest) or new songs which usually suck anyway (3 of them on Best of Both Worlds by Van Halen). |

The White Album? Quadrophenia? Synchronicitry? Dark Side of the Moon? Guys... for the last time, its a list of the best "Greatest Hits" cd's. Is this really that hard to understand? |
