This was mentioned in another thread. I'd love to tell all about it... if only it lacked the merit of being true.

We have a very healthy sibling rivalry with those fellas. Chiding and ballbusting always was one of the best things at the Score during my first six or seven years there... especially between the Monsters and the Heavy Fuel Crew.

You know how you know when we don't like each other? When there is never any busting of bulls. It was like that here with Mariotti... later with Salisbury and Rosenbloom. It's much more fun this way. We all get along fine and root for each other. I took Silvy out for a few drinks and dinner two weeks ago. I'm kind of fond of the young lad. He reminds me a lot of me 10 years ago.... full of potential, but over-driven... angry a lot... scared... insecure in a likeable way... incapable of smelling the roses. He's my guy.

And some listeners will still claim that you refuse to talk NBA.

I think he's angry and insecure because everybody at the station implies that he's a burrito.

Honestly, this is the main irritant of the W&S show. That schtick is a direct lift from the Great Fruity One, Greeny. And it sucks when they do it.

Many that is true, but an incomplete statement.

Angry, insecure, and scared.

That describes everybody on this board.

You can be insecure and likeable. That's certainly possible.

People who are over confident, self-lovers or cocky are much more easy to hate.

Mac,

One of the things that I like best about Silvy is his self-depricating style. He is often teased about being gay, which he clearly is not, but he is apparently secure enough to let all that nonsense roll off his back. He uses all that stuff to his advantage on the show, allowing others to create humor at his expense. Something many in his position (insert joke here) would not be willing to do.

The word out of his Condo is....

Marc Silverman has been puking all day long. Word is he's nervous about 'taking another bite of Jerry Reinsdorf's apple'. With the Bulls without a head coach since Christmas, and the Sox struggling at the plate, Jerry Reinsdorf will NOT be in a hospitable mood next week. ...and wait until he sees Jay Marriotti in the audience!

Just keep puking Silvy - it's OK. Bryan Robinson won't chase you around the room.

;)

So we can all expect you to take Silvy to Mexico next year?
