I can only imagine the non-stop fucking pukefest if the Cubs ever win the World Series. I would liken it to the 23-year stream of drivel we have heard since the Bears managed to win a Super Bowl a fucking lifetime ago. Can't wait to hear Ryan Theriot hawk Honda Civics in the year 2031. Fuck the Cubs. And fuck that cricket with Parkinson's they call a lead-off man. At least we don't hear about the '05 Sox every day, like we would if the Cubs ever win something worth a shit. |

You den't hear about the 05 sox because most of their fans really can't complete sentences. That and nobody in chicago really gives a fuck about the White Sox. Its a Cubs town. |

You seem to be an expert on not being able to complete a sentence. |

We complete sentences real well. The Cubs, howver, can't complete a season. If it's a Cubs town, that means we are all losers. I don't buy that shit for a minute. Sit in the sun and talk on your cell phone somewhere for free. It saves the $35 for parking. |

Sit in the sun and talk on your cell phone somewhere for free. It saves the $35 for parking. If the meatball asshat Sox fan is a myth, or unfair stereotype, you're not doing much to disprove that thought process. |

You mean the meatball asshat that says "World Champions" on it? And it's even less than 100 years old. Facts are facts, and they're on our side. |

The 2005 Sox World Series means as much today as the 1908 Cubs World Series means today, nothing. |

To me, it's all about perspective. The White Sox were supposed to suck this year, and despite struggling mightily at the plate as of late, they're only a 1/2 game out of first place - and they'll return from this ten game West Coast road trip with a winning record (which is really saying something). The Cubs play in the inferior league - the National League. Considering expectation levels, coupled with their ginormous salary and weak division they were expected to roll over everybody. I certainly hope they could own the Padres this week at home, let's see how badly they annihilate the AAA Pittsburgh Pirates who are now at the shrine. PS: Send me a memo when the Cubs actually achieve something relevant and meaningful. |

The 1969 Cubs, who won nothing, mean more today to most Cub fans than anything done in 1908 or 2005. |

KD, it only means nothing because the North Siders didn't win it. I'd love to the the Cubs compete with the Indians, Twins and Tigers. Fourth place. No better. |

It was like the race to the moon. The Sox are the United States. The Cubs are the Russians. Now go get a bottle of Vodka and enjoy your beer garden. |

If fact I see two of the top teams in the league in the NL Central and the NL West. For your consideration, you were the type to bitch about how the Cubs were only half a game out when they were a .500 team and how the NL Central is bullshit for that. Look at the AL Central right now, Cleveland on top two games over .500? Sounds like the Sox fans are doing exactly what they hated of Cubs fans the last 5 years or so. |

Probably not as you might just poo poo that and say doesnt matter. The Al central is horrible and damn near every team in the NL central has close to or a better record then your great American league. Learn the facts than talk shit. Oh and they did sweep the BEST team in baseball this week too. Sorry I have to rain on your parade but somebody should. |

Oh you mean the Indians(22-20), Twins (21-20) and those pesky Tigers(16-26). Yeah SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh the NL central is so much fucking better right now. Look at the standings for god sakes before you open your mouth again. Damn you look foolish. |

My parade may have thunderclouds over it, but at least the Sox didn't lose a HOME GAME to the AAA Pittsburgh fuckin' Pirates. LOL!!! The only thing that might have saved them today was contraction a few years ago. |

No, better yet, post what REALLY matters: the champions of the past five years, or ten years - regardless the NL comes up much like the Cubs - out of luck: 1998 New York Yankees 1999 New York Yankees 2000 New York Yankees 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks 2002 Anaheim Angels 2003 Chicago Cubs* (if Steve Bartman didn't ruin the 'team of destiny's parade) 2004 Boston Red Sox 2005 Chicago White Sox 2006 St. Louis Cardinals 2007 Boston Red Sox |

Its May 17th. Plenty of reasons for optimism on the North Side, but lets put the Kool Aid away for a while longer. When my team won it all, I knew they were good but I did not have playoff expectations until that first series after the All Star break when the Sox went into Cleveland and swept the 4 game series. Thats when I knew this team was for real. That was mid July, and as I said its May right now. There's lots of baseball left to be played. The Cubs basically had a playoff spot lined up for themselves in 2004 and look how that worked out. |

It saves the $35 for parking. Dude, I lived in Chicago for 6 years and don't give a shit about the crapfest you have on either side of town. But if you don't think the Cubs are the #1 baseball team in that town, you're either in denial, stupid or both. Plus the Sox have 1 ring in what, 90 years? That would define being losers as well. BTW, if you're smart you take public transportation to the game which is very cheap, so maybe you're just dumb. |
