I could be there around 11am if somebody wants to have a beer.

Might show up after the game but it depends on where I feel me and my entourage would be most catered to. I was going to get some champagne and spray it on the poorly dressed.

Fine grape juice as produced by the monk or a fine widow? That it would be upon the poor grubby masses in Cubbie blew/blue/bloo(?) only is slightly mitigating. I expect growth and the fine example from you Doc....for shame

What would your chums at Phillips/Exeter think?

Somewhere, six feet under, blue blooded alumni are rolling in their graves...for shame Doc. To take your lead there???? For shame. And to link to a website showing a fat Kristy Swanson, looking like Anna Nicole Smith

(That I almost couldn't think of A. Smith's name... )

Hey, I was just linking to the Walker thing.

You were the one who decided to take a look around. Don't blame me.

Always ready to see MJH when I can stumble there. Plus, not such a fan of Harry Carry's TAVERN. My guy Mike, manager ta HC's, needs to improve the kitchen during rush hour. It's tough for any place in Wrigleyville to get it done when masses are attending all at one time.

Yakzees might do the best job because they anticipate the crowd and just start cooking wings, wings and more wings. Yet, just like eating in any stadium the food takes a notch down when being prepared in masses. Yes, that includes the fine fine Churros at Comiskular.

I look forward to my 4th stale churro in 4 years at Comiskular next weekend and an Italian Sausage served on a breaking apart stale bun, after it was made 2 hours before ai ordered it, continuing the myth of "GREAT FOOD" at Comiskular.

You gotta get a Kosher dog loaded with onions, A deli sanwhich in the right field corner (whcih is a great fuckin deal- sammy, chips, and a pickle for $6), or the famous "Elotes" which is in right field now. There is bad food at the Cell, but a ton of great food as well. Just gotta know what to get.

Maybe some day I will have the occasion to take you to a game and show you some of the food highlights at the Cell.

Anyone going to be around drinking on Saturday?

I think far too much is made of the food and both ball parks. Good or bad.

Why don't you guys tailgate or stop some where before the game?

Now, if it's a quick rush to the game after work I understand.

I don't think I've eaten anything at the Cell since I was a kid.

agreed, beardown--however, i have to second bigfan's indictment of the churros. they are really bad. anyone who has ever had a churro in their life would know that.

First, at Wrigley, for the most part they do not have preparation space. So while I can point out ther few things that are good, I know very few things exist.

Second, I usually do not eat at the game, as I would take the dining establishments in the area as whole, to be much better than any food or selection in any park in sports.

Burgers at barleycorn, or Guacamole at Moes Cantina, Apps at Bar Louie, Smoked Flank Steak Samwich at Vines on Clark, Grilled Pork Chop at Bernies, Tuscany, Raw Bar, Dark Horse, and on and on is better than any food I have ever eaten in the Bards room at Comiskular, Club Dining at UC, Sonya Henning Room at the Old Stadiumetc and these are the BEST they have to offer.

well it looks like i'm going to have to be a "No" for tomorrow, despite Bigfan's very generous offer...but i gotta do some work on a short film (see: plug, sell stuff for more) and my friend and i have to work on the song for it...and this is one of the only days he's available.

thanks again to bigfan, would have loved to meetcha, and what not.

there will be another day.

Oh yeah, the six dollar piss-warm flat Special Export at Wrigley is something to treasure.

By the by, if you're looking to get fine food at a ballpark, go to Petco Park in SD.
