Post subject:  EuroCopa 2008 and o jogo bonito, the WORLD's game !

As listening to this strange precinct called "sport talks radio", I am always amused to notice the ANTI-futebol venom(nossa, I HATE to call this beautiful world game "soccer".....) that is spit by most of the talk show hosts--an active campaign to ignore "o jogo bonito" (the beautiful game).

As there WAS a time in USA when futebol could have made an impact, this time has sad sad , flown...

I hear all the cliché reasons why futebol is not reported in the news journals (the Tribune gives 3-4 sentences of vague recap each day, and the Sun Times now not fit even to wrap fishbones in....)-- and outside Jurkoviç, the game ignored or ridiculed if discussed at all.

All I say really, another 4 years has arrived, and magical moments in the World Game

I agree Andres Markovitz, the majority USian does not like futebol because 1) USA did not INVENT it --- and 2) the USA just is NO GOOD at it!

So on and on the same bla bla bla , beating certain topics into the ground, when at least just a BIT of talks/ coverage of futebol in general, and especially important moments as the Copa Mundial and EuroCopa cannot be asking too much.

As always, USA is a country of immigrants, built BY immigrants at great cost of time, leisure and life (I see the eyes rolling, who built the railways, the canals, the roads, who digs the coal, etc.etc...)

Hey, even if it is only a soup bone, why not take a step and throw it to us, a little coverage and respect for a game we all feel same way as USians feel for their "futebol américano". !

oh, and.....Forrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrzzzzza Azzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzurrri! (the Italian cheer!)

ma che cazzu sei babbone ! Nice words "Frank", Again, one with little courage. I enjoy to see those who post this parolacce (bad talks) on the internet, my guess they not the coglione to say this face to face.

Internet breeds this manner of cretinu, "Frank", you are as said in the military, currently walking point .

My advise to you, same as famous USian actress Mae West when asked her advise for children....

GROW UP...................

A couple friends and I are putting together a short film and we are shooting one scene with some extras (crystal lake hoffy and a few others might have seen my myspace bulletin about this already) needed.

it's a bar scene, and we'd be providing the alcohol. you don't have to be in character, you just have to drink...to get into character.

it'll take about 2 hours most likely at the most.

Date: 7/3/08 (probably around 9pmish.) that's a thursday
Place: Downer's Grove (PM for directions if you can do this).

Any Nintendo-based attire you can wear would be fantastic--and I don't mean tee-shirts...I mean something that resembles what a popular Nintendo character would wear.

the GrouchoMarxista + W_Z's extra = match

Sterotype, eh? Well if they wouldn't hack and whine.....
Personally I love the efficancy and machine like precision of the boys from germany. I miss Lothar matthaus, Rudi voller, and Jurgen Klinsman...and can not forget the Kaiser

Soccer may be the rest of the worlds game. But here in America, there is very little interest in it. It is not being discussed on Mac Jurko and Harry's show, because of the lack of interest. If the posting party believes that by posting a thread on soccer, he might create additional interest in the game, I believe he's very much mistaken. It's no surprise that he seems to struggle with the English language. Most avid Soccer fans were born elsewhere. I'm sure if I were to go to Italy, they would think my enthusiasm for Baseball and Football over Soccer was odd though.
