From Teddy Greenstein this morning:

"Hampton is also in talks with WMAQ-Ch. 5 about a role on Sunday nights."

I seem to recall Mac saying that he and Jurko were trying to position themselves to get Sunday nights on NBC.
Has he provided any update on that?

I don't think Hampton will get the gig as he's requesting a wet bar and cocktail waitresses on the set at NBC 5.

I don't think he'll get the gig as he can't speak in coherant sentances...

Just what we need , more 85' Bears mugging the camera and telling us how a 5 and 11 season for this years Bears has promise.

That '85 Bears season has been like Welfare/Social Security to the lucky 53 guys that were a part of it.

Kind of like The Love Boat was for Jimmie Walker, Connie Francis, and Arte Johnson in the late '70's.

LMAO... great analogy, and I will have to remember it for future use.

I will have an update on the NBC5 Sunday night show very soon... maybe today. It isn't everything I hoped it would be... but it's something of a new project for us.

Lets hope that NBC5 has a better makeup person than The Final Word does/did.

Per Teddy G:

Lance Briggs is slated to appear on WMAQ-Ch. 5's postgame Bears shows anchored by Paula Faris and Dan Hampton.

oh boy, get your Websters Dictionary ready, I'm sure plenty of long, obscure words will be implemented as the battle for grammatical prowess begins.

Maybe they will call the segment the "Grammar Dicks face off".

That would be an ill-advised move on Mac's part. Bernsie would paddle his ample, honey-smooth buttocks if that ever happened.

TQ is correct. Bernstein's skills with the English language are superior to mine. His vocubulary is vast. He is the smartest guy doing sports talk. In New Orleans in '97, we were in the fitness center and "Jeopardy" was on the tube. We didn't "play each other," but we blurted out the questions when we knew them. He ran the table in several categories. If it were a fight, they would have stopped it. As for the workout... that was a different result. The point is... Dan is a very, very intelligent guy. When will he be smart enough, however, to figure out how to beat me and my band of misfits who appear opposite His brilliance?

Once he tries to go the Keith Olbermann route.....

How many vacation days would Mac get if he got hired at NBC 5?

About half the amount as Tom Waddle got for working at Fox32 and the NFL Network.

I could see Mac sniffing the toliet seat in the unisex bathroom at NBC 5 as the 1-2 punch of Paula Ferris and Ginger Zee are frequent squatters in that area. The funny thing would be to see Jurko coming out of their as the 2 hotties are walking in.

Or you could walk in to the shit house and watch Mike Adamle stumbling over his lines as he's rehersing in the bathroom mirror

I don't think Mac or anyone else would have the opportunity as Laurence Holmes steals those seconds after Paula and Ginger leave the bathroom.
