So, Mac and Jurko are off all week? Are the same two people going to be sitting in with Harry while they're gone, or are they playing musical chairs all week?

I thought Hoodie was in? If not, Carm is pretty solid when he's driving. Thought it might be an MP3 player for the week's commute home...now I think not.

Carm, JD and Harry - How long till Harry brainchilds some stupid game. I like when it's just Harry there without Mac and Jurko just to see how much he goes out of bounds. I'll be listening.

Probably get "The Rays Game" on Friday, in which the answer will be a fomer or current Devil Ray, or have the name Ray. Or maybe an X-Ray or UV Rays. Or maybe a pay raise, FATHA!

Sounds like it's just Carmen and Harry today. I thought they'd try to maintain the 3-man booth...unless it wasn't possible for some reason.

Carm did confirm this in the opening but did not say when.

I heard "Mac" & "Jurko" mention something about a "stay-cation", which I have heard quite a bit in the wake of outrageous gas prices and the sluggish economy...I know the last time Carmen sat in, he had a problem with Sheryl Crow as "MJH's Featured Artist" going in & out of commercial breaks during a Friday afternoon broadcast at Arlington Park, and tried to substitute it for Smashing Pumpkins. If Carm, JD and/or Jonathan Hood are sitting in with Harry at the "Afternoon Saloon" all this week, I wonder if Harry will feature one of his stupid games & feature the music of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger or another of his faves come Friday afternoon...

As the guys at the "Afternoon Saloon" say, "Keep it..." I bet it'll be Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger or Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers getting the "Featured Artist Friday" treatment. I have a couple of "Featured Artists" suggestions. I have heard "MJH" say that Eric Clapton's overrated, but there's plenty of classic E.C. in his catalogue that's "bumper friendly", dating back to when Eric was with the Yardbirds, plus when he was with Cream, the brief cup of coffee with Steve Winwood & Blind Faith, the stuff with Derek & the Dominos and a great deal of the solo stuff starting in 1970 & going to 1989 that rocks in my opinion...Also, an entire guitar rock tribute would be really cool!

Does it sound like Carmen and Hood are often patronizing Harry?

You forgot to put quotes around "E.C." and "rocks." I would like any of that stuff though.

I've enjoyed the show for the most part this week too. Carmen always does well when filling in for M, J, or H. Hoodie is keeping his impressions to a minimum too which also keeps me from going to the MP3 player.

Carm does a fine job but Mac is the franchise and the show has a gaping hole when he is not there. Being a a driver of the show Mac knows where to steer it and he is very concise on where and how he steers it and I think it flows because of it.

I don't know if any of the other hosts drive a show as good as Mac but Carm has the talent and just needs the right mix of producers and hosts to pull it off.

I think Carm is a better over all talent than Silvvy and that's not to bash Sillvy but I think Carm sprays to all fields when it comes to his acumen on Chicago sports than Silverman does.. As much as I'm not a hockey fan yet, I think hosts are going to have to talk hockey this year and Sillvy and Waddle have made it clear they are not hockey fans and Carm gives you that.

Carm and Hood work very well together. 'The Show' is always a good listen and I'm enjoying them on MJH this week. Harry hasn't been bad either.

Carmen is going to be the "Mac" of that station one day. I enjoy the show much more when Mac is driving, obviously, but if he's on vacation- paid or unpaid- Carmen should always be in the pen ready to go.

In the most *non-gayest* way I can say this, Carm's a good looking guy. I don't understand why he doesn't do more Tv work.
