It was a fun day over in Lombard, for the Fantasy Football Challenge. Jurko was in fine form with many comments made during the celebrity draft. Many of them were directed at Silvy, who took them in good fashion. Harry was his usual self, with some of his usual jokes. He will serve as commissioner of the league this season. All in all, it was a good time and it was nice to have it in Lombard this year and not have to drive downtown. |

No complaints this year about savvy competitors participating in the draft, and working hard to push the rules to the limit Steve? ...albeit not breaking them. |

If you were at the draft, you would have heard Harry explain how any shenanigans would be dealt with by him-to ensure no issues arise this year. So no complaints Beef. Just looking forward to honest competition without any hijinks. If anyone tries to cheat or work in concert with another owner, the teams may be dropped out of the competition, or at the very least, any moves (drop/add) reversed and a warning issued to both parties. Glad to say, that the guys who you might describe as savy, did not profit from their ways. Neither of them won anything. If you think that it's okay that hundreds of people who try to compete honestly, using their own knowledge and instincts, might be cheated by people working together- conspiring to win the thing underhandedly-then I have to disagree. Fortunately, that did not happen last year and now measures are in place to ensure it cannot happen this season. For those not aware of the situation-2 brothers got in the same 10 team league last year. After 1 got the first weeks add position, for the add/drops, then the other brother dropped his first round draft pick, so his brother could pick him up, to try to stack that team. The player had not played a single game and was not injured, so dropping him at that point could not be justified, due to poor performance. It was strictly a move made to gain a competitive advantage. But this season that move would be nullified and punishment including removal from the league might well be instituted. I'm glad I brought all the things to light last season, as it had much to do with changes made for this season, that benefit the honest competitors. |

He intentionally created an unfair situation in order to try and gain an advantage in order to win the game. He is a cheater. |
