Since Danny Mac and Harry are quick to tie sports to music, I think it's natural to throw this out there... I've had enough of "Don't Stop Believin" and I'm glad the White Sox marketing department rolled out the 'blackout' theme on Tuesday (even though the players didn't get the memo apparently). What should be the Sox 'mantra' song as they make their latest World Series run? Blackout by Klaus Meine, Rudy Schenker and the Scorpions Paint it Black by the Rolling Stones Back in Black by AC/DC Black Dog (as in underdog) by Led Zeppelin Although I'm a ginormous Scorpions fan, the natural choice would be Back in Black, since the Southsiders are indeed 'back' - and they open home games with AC/DC already - with Thunderstruck. What a magical game last night. Danks coming up huge. Thome did what Thome does best. Griffey with the awesome throw, followed by AJ with the dagger. Grif doubles, Anderson pinch runs, Anderson makes a textbook diving catch to end the game. And although it wasn't that difficult of a play, it was good to see Swisher in defensively to make the 2nd to last out of the game. Even Jenks did a stellar job in the 9th (that sweaty, jittery big boy makes me nervous at times). What a great day to be a Chicago baseball fan. Both teams in the playoffs for the first time in 102 years. Bruce Levine is probably having a deja vu experience. |

I'm realizing more and more how much I don't like the Stones. That song drives me up the wall. Other than a select few songs(Brown Sugar, Gimmie Shelter, Honky Tonk Woman) they're dead to me. I'm no sox fan, but Back in Black is an obvious winner here. |

Black or White - Michael Jackson (because in the end it really doesn't matter as the song suggests...) |

Hell, how about getting a mascot named Blackzilla so Sox fans can introduce themselves to the man making their mom's happy. |
