Post subject:  December 5th event at Buffalo Wild Wings in Frankfort
Im going to make plans to go to this event, as its close to work. Just wanted to see if anyone else was gonna go. I wont be able to get there until right after the show starts and Im looking to get a table saved for me. Who can I talk to about getting one saved for me and about 3 or 4 guys from my work. Its next Friday so I figured I would shoot it out there.

Frankfort is about five miles north of where I grew up.

ah yes... nothing like moving from the city (Harlem/Lawrence) in 8th grade and being forced to spend (what should have been) the best years of my life on a 22 acre farm where my nearest neighbor was a mile away. It was so bad, I was ONE MILE out of the Frankfort school district, and instead of going to Lincolnway - I ended up in a 144 square mile school district in PEOTONE, where the high school had the highest pregnancy rate per capita.

Frankfort is a great town, but it's a pain in the ass to get near any nightlife - that's why I hob-nobbed my way up to Schaumburg as soon as I could get the hell of the house - which was the night Mike Tyson was crying to Barbara Walters on TV while his wife Robin Givens looked on.

Ah yes... my old stomping grounds, Green Garden Township - best seen in the rear view mirror. :)

I met my wife in Frankfort too - 24 years ago. Yet another reason not to like it. ;)

This was shot on the south end of Frankfort this Spring and about a mile from where MJH will be next week Thank God you moved Grid.

Perhaps, someone can bump this to the "brag about something that no one cares about thread."

I proposed to my girlfriend this past Wednesday night in downtown Frankfort. I lived there for a few years, and agree that it is a nice town.

P.S. She did say yes... Now somebody please insert the "we're happy for you!" sound bite.

It's not a far drive for me so I should be there about 2 or so and stay for about an hour. I'll bring the chicken Mac. First round is on me. STU will be with me so make the trip.

Take I 57 South to Lincoln Highway (211th?), go west a few miles and Welcome to frankfort.

Not that I am going , as I did not book a flight ahead of time, just very familar with that neck of the woods.

For a scenic tour, take Lincoln Highway East to Indiana, through Matteson, Harvey and Chicago Heights.

If your driving down Lincoln Highway east, stop off at Perros Brothers on LH and Governs Highway on the right hand side of the street. Its across from Red Lobster(or at least it was). Best Burgers I have ever had.

I grew up in that area and Perros Brothers gyros are still the best I've ever had. Plus you get to see the mustachioed mexican dude behind the counter who memorizes perfectly every order placed with a line of 20 people waiting. I might be able to make this remote, my parents live in Mokena now so could probably crash there if I get all drinky. Depends on work though.

Yes . Nick is his name. The mexican guy at the counter that never writes anything down, but remembers everything with a shit load of people in there waiting. I havent had perros in about a year. If it wasnt so far of a drive I would go there today for lunch.

The Galway Tribes on the other side of the lot is worth checking out. Great Irish bar. Frankfort's finest have their HQ tucked away a little further toward the high school so someone warn Harry before he dives into the Tequila
