As long as Comcast is giving out TV shows to anyone who can afford it, maybe the Afternoon Saloon takes a whack at it? Maybe a Weekly show? try to give me an hour of old Sportswriters like discussion because the Tribune Live thing does not work! Comcast tries so hard to portray this regular guy image. Commercials in a bar with all their people, name the dog deepdish, slogan of 'Mans best friend', then they assemble 4 guys behind podiums in suits like a presidential debate and expect to end up with a good old fashioned sports argument/discussion. The atmosphere does not promote exactly what I think they are going for? or does it? 4 guys talking like they are in at a tea party? MJH bring an element to the table that FOX NFL Pregame does. When someone says something outrageous or foolish, nobody holds back to jump in right away and blow up the sequential format of being allowed to speak. Feel free to talk among yourselves. |

Do you really want Harry being seen on TV? |

If there was a 'scratch and sniff' feature on TV screens, it would really let you know what its like to be in the same room as Jurko. |

While I do agree that it would be better than the Tribune Live garbage, I wouldn't want to see this as a TV show. I like the guys on the radio. People on TV often 'try too hard' and it ruins the show. These guys aren't TV guys, they are comfortable on the radio and it translates into the best sports show in town. |

This would only work if Darryl Hawks hosts, and the NBC5 production crew takes over |

Very funny posts already on this. Talking heads TV is among the worst forms of TV. I was hoping to be a part of an actual television production in Sept. at NBC-5, but their lack of willingness to come up with the scratch was the biggest factor in laying out. Darryl Hawks as lead scared me, too, but in a twisted way, it would have been fun to be adjacent to the fellow as he unfurled his magic act. No regrets on my part. I have a part-time job or two that do not require time applying pancake make-up. If something comes up down the road that is television, not radio on television, I'd be interested. Superagent Bryan Harlan pitched BTN for me, but they're crying poor as well. |

If you're going to type your own quotes Mac, at least get the username right I wonder if NBC5 will have enough money to send somebody down to the Super Bowl... |

The show should employ a young reporter to cover the fringe of sports and ask funny questions. I would love to see someone actually respond when Urlacher bullies his way through interviews. Get a one on one with the Urlacher/Flatly skank and treat her with the appropriate deference. |

If the YES Network can simulcast 5 hours of WFAN SportsRadio's Mike Francesa, minus Chris "Mad Dog" Russo, every weekday afternoon in New York, maybe Comcast SportsNet can do it here...OR NOT! |

I watched 5 minutes of Jiggets and North the other day....that will be the last 5 minutes I watch unless something of note happens the night before...like a No-Hitter, Division Clincher or something noteworthy...there is only so much of this bullshit in this town to talk about... SPORTSTALK WAS INVENTED FOR THE CAR RADIO.......ALONE TIME!!!!! I'd rather read the New York Times in the morning than listen to some garbage about John Paxson on TV. EXHUME CHELVESTON THE DUCK!!!!!! |

Can it be done in braille? There are touch screen monitors, why not break new ground and some wind at the same time? |
