What a bunch of bullshit. As a P1 listener of ESPN Radio 1000 Chicago - I feel cheated. D. McNeil was the only reason I would tune into ESPN Radio 1000 on a daily basis. He is the best 'driver' of a show in Chicago. AM or FM. D. McNeil continually developed & tried new ideas to keep the program fresh. He encouraged fellow ESPN 1000 personalities to go out & 'press the flesh' with listeners. He brought the garbage ESPN Radio in Chicago to new heights and what fucking thanks does he get? A goddamn pink slip. I look forward to reading the chapter about the POS at the Emily Barr Center when his book comes out. Linda S. P.S. F. Constanza - cram it. The White Stocking are boring. They win a World Series and they still are the second fiddle in Chicago. |

maybe a "eulogy" thread where we can all come on and comment on how important Mac was to all of our lives, how the landscape of broadcast radio has been forever altered, and how life just isn't the same without M, J and H. i'm not getting much of a vibe one way or the other on that. |
