Mac - Can you give us a little more detail about what happened behind closed doors? What's next for you? Has WSCR been in contact? Is the HFC going to reunite?

Soon. Likely my Sun-Times column Thursday.

I read all the stuff here over the past day or two and I'm floored by the response. Grateful to all, be they "ALSers" or haters. Thanks for being interested enough to express a thought.

Now... I have a new radio show to hear as it open the doors. Wondering if it'll supplant Waddle & Silvy as my favorite radio show.

Oops. Bulls-Knicks on the box. Swirsky is good, you guys think?

My buddy "Buzzbait Brian" gave me a cooler full of awesome fresh game the last time MJH show was South. I am returning the gift of food to him Friday in New Lennox. Going with the 7-bone Allen Bros. prime rib roast. So... yes... I will be at Charleston's Friday. At least that's the plan... as of today.

I like the Swirsk...nobody else does here though. He looks so forlorn...you want to help him and his gigantic overbite out...

I'm going to give it a shot Mac . . . starting today. My concerns are:

-Carm will try to drive to hard

-Harry and Jurko will struggle

-It won't be nearly as funny.

. . . but I'll give it a spin.

Mac, I was as blindsided by ESPN 1000's sudden move to drop you as Jon Gruden was being let go by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Friday. "The Afternoon Saloon" won't feel nearly the same without you behind the bar and fans everywhere "pulling up a chair" every weekday afternoon. Here's hoping you crank up the AC/DC, Led Zeppelin & Rolling Stones, plus fire up an Allen Brothers steak & watch some DVDs during your sudden time off. Here's hoping you land on your feet somewhere soon. Later!

Thanks for the advice, but Allen Brothers products I acquire are acquired via trade. Go back to your coloring book.

Is the first remote sponsored yet? How about June 17 in Wrigleyville, Cubs v Sox, right after free agent signing period starts.

Could be good ugly

City, Did you just call Keeping Score a drag queen?

Just looking out for you Mackey.

Face facts. You have a nice look for radio, and you've been fired from the only two sports stations. What's left? Sharing recipes with Kathy and Judy?

dreg queen, drag queen...same thing. Hope KS's life partner doesn't mind him being back here on the site; after all, he left because this place was turning into a "bathhouse." Doesn't surprise me a bit that he comes back under his mult(s)...

Dangerous,

Have been following you since you were spinnin' the dials for Chester with the occasional sit-in when he was out. Back then, you were the only one willing to talk pucks and up to now, back on the frontline of the resurgence of the Hawks under the messiah.

Keep the faith man, I look forward to hearing from you when you land your new gig!!

Regardless of what you think of the guy you don't have to be a dick I guess compassion wasn't something your mother taught you

Good point, STU. I supposed you learned your compassion at Taco Bell drive-thrus and Kohl's?
