I've done my best to listen the past few weeks and try to form an "intelligent" decision about the show. Here it goes. Carmen is in a no-win situation. First, he's really not cut out for afternoon drive. He's not a star. Never will be. But, he is a decent host, who when paired with the right person/persons, could fit in nicely in mid-days, nights, etc. But how you can you blame him for taking this assignment. He'd be crazy to pass up the opportunity. This one is on the GM and program director. They have set up Carmen to fail. Jurko sounds like he's got one foot out the door. He's always been a little sleepy on the air, but he just seems bored. Harry is borderline unlistenable. This is a bad mix. Maybe 1000 does the right thing soon and changes up their line-up, but I'm not holding my breath. |

I don't really blame him for taking the slot, but I don't like that he did. I can't even figure out if he likes sports. I've given up on the show. |

Here is why Carmen is in a no-win situation and why Mac being let go was a bad decision, they can say Carmen is the host, but can he really come in and say here is how we are going to do it and that's it, Harry and Jurco have been on this show for 8 years, so really it is there show and Carm basically has to listen and do their ideas, he can try stuff on his own, and Jurc and Harry can do, but I beleive Carmen can't control the show the way he wants it. This brings why I think it was big reason to let Mac go, is when you get Mac you get leadership and I feel of all the people at ESPN Radio 1000, can you name a leader of people on the radio at that place. Like they all said when Mac left, he helped get us where we are, who will fight for those guys now, I guess Harry could, but they probably here so much from him and get tired of listening, and I do beleive Jurco is just waiting for his next radio deal, I don't see it from Carmen or Silvy and Waddle is still new to the station. It will be intresting when the ratings come out, to really see how much this show has fallen, the sales guys will really struggle to sell ads, and after a couple more will really produce some changes at the radio station. |

The only thing Harry would fight for is the last munchkin at the bottom of a dunkin donut box. I am no longer riding the fence on the tiny one. He is a talentless boob. He was only semi-interesting when Mac was on the show just because of Mac and Jurko's ability to rile him up. ESPN 1000 had a great run but sadly that run is over. I can think of absolutely no one in Chicago that could step in and save this show and give it any redeeming quality. Hood, Carmen, Dickerson, Waddle - all nice names but more comfortable riding in the side car instead of steering. Maybe they should go with someone with a radio background that knows sports - someone like a Kevin Mathews or Johnny B or someone like that and have a talented side kick like a Silvy or Carmen or Waddle - it can't hurt - they don't talk about sports now for more than ten minutes at a time anyway. |

Did you blame Sammy Hagar for Van Halen not being as good? The only explanation I would like is from Jim Pastor. |

If you read the comments under Ted Cox's column, it looks like that who Jim Pastor is going after. |

What a Cluster Fuck! Mac WAS the show. Hey Pastor! WTF! Duh... And they effed it up when they put the talentless Silvy with Waddle. Jeeper, creepers..where'd you get that guy? Shoulda been Carmen and Waddle. Again, Duh! Blow the whole shootin' match up and play 50s music. The Weed King |
