What are your thoughts on Finji jumping in during the Afternoon Saloon?

Finji has had some great one liners, but sometimes I feel like it takes away from the flow. The 3 man system already has its problems, and I am not sure this is helping it.

Full disclosure: I like Finji and every time I have heard him with his own time on the radio, I have enjoyed it. I just can't come to grips with the whole "chiming in" thing he has going with the Saloon.

First, I think you mean "roll" as in Tootsie, not "role" as in what you should know.

It seems to me that Finji is jumping in more often because somebody heard Goff doing the same thing down the dial. Unfortunately, Finji has neither the sense of humor nor the timing that Goff has. But I don't hate it....

I think Finji was "jumping in" more when the CJH show first started, and I liked the comments he was able to add to the show (ala J Goff). Then it seemed he shied away from doing it but now seems to be joining in again with more regularity. I still like what it adds to the show.

(Couldn't hurt :P ).

There is nothing wrong with hearing from the other side of the glass.

Just as long as Zederman doesn't stare into the webcam we're good.

This began before I was shown the door. It was my idea... and not because Jason jumps in with B&B. Finji had been saying funny things in my headset (and giving me corrections on our mistakes) for a long time, so I suggested he just open up a damn mic. I only have heard how Jason chips in with Terry and Dan recently... and I think it adds.... like Finji does.

I haven't heard Finji do this yet (I really haven't been listening to the show since Mac left), but it works with Jason. It probably is harder to pull off with a 3-man booth, but I could see it working.

Harry is getting his team together for when they dump Jurko.

Anytime someone adds something of value....information, humor, whatever..it should be welcomed with open arms. Whether that individual is a show host, a caller or a producer, it makes no difference to me.

I think Jurco will be gone when his contract is up and I am guessing that is this year, but my question is they are starting a fantasy baseball with the listeners. I think ESPN radio would want to have whoever they want in the afternoon slot by football season. Just a thought.

Finji had a definite 'collar tugger' this week.

I believe it was Carmen who made a joke about how worthless Gathright is, unless they need someone to jump cars in Wrigleyville.

Finji came back with something to the effect of... "Well they will need him if Donte Stallworth is driving around."

Too soon? Maybe, but I gotta admit, it got a laugh.

I don't listen anymore, but I would think that anything that shuts Harry up can't be bad.

I laughed out loud when he said that. Positive contribution in general.
