We will be golfing earlier and than dinner and drinking there at 630. If anyone is going to be up there, let me know as Ill look for you.

I'm going to stop by early around 2 pm or so and say hi to the guys. I'll stick around for about an 1/2 hour or so and head over to Harrah's for some poker afterwards.

Gotta grow one before you worry about four.

The way thelast 2 weeks have gone, this remote would be more fun than my sister's wedding on Friday.

Thanks for the invite Chris but I have a lot going on Friday. Ran into Silvy and Carm tonite at the game in the Brew Pup (button 48) and Carm is pumped for the Joliet remote so try and make it down as he's a great guy and his playoff beard is a riot and Silvy is a great guy as well and just makes me laugh every time I see him . Both great guys and guys you want to see do well. Also great to meet Spanky from the board out in front of the UC tonight as well.

No biggie. Ill try and make it up there but im going up there with a bunch of other guys, so I dont have control of when we go and all. If he is still up there at 630 I would introduce myself but Im sure he would just look at me and wonder who the fuck I am. Like most people.

With the rain that we are having, we might be going up to Heros a little early now. Anyone besides SSE going?

Ok, Im not going to sugar coat this to boast MACs ego but this might. I went up there around 5pm today and the place wasnt half filled. And Carmen being the great host he is, stood near the stage after the show was done. Jurko left right afterwards and Harry did his shots with the customers like he is supposed to. Carmen couldnt give a fuck, and thats part of the reason why nobody gave a damn he was up there. Crowd was dead, and so is the SALOON. IF MAC wants to domintate all he has to do is go agaisnt these guys.

Why did I try and post this after drinking 15 beers? I dont know. Anyways I have been up there for remotes(twice in the past) when Mac was hosting, and the place was packed. This time, you could actually walk up and grab a seat almost anywhere and we pretty much did after 5pm. The crowd was dead for the broadcast, and the guys on the show, showed little or no desire to interact with anyone there. Carmen just has this look about him, where he just wants to do his job and get the fuck out of there. Thats how he comes across on the radio too. He seemed like an aggoragant prick on the radio and in real life he actually did not disappoint. Last remote I go to.

The girl taking down the stage was nice enough to show her ass crack many times though. She was average looking with a good body. She was the highlight of the show though.

I would agree that it's not the same show and no where near the same energy level at remotes when Mackie was driving the show Chris but the guys were as gracious with their time as they always are. I got there with a few friends before the show and all three of the guys came over and hung out for a bit and talked hockey. Spaulding got there a little later and Jurko and Harry stopped over to say Hi to her.

I'm not sure if Carm has settled in yet but I will again say he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and I know a lot of people bash Harry but he always makes it a point to come over and spend some time chatting and making you laugh which he did yesterday.

I 'm not saying this because Danny is a friend but he has a gift and a talent for his craft and where ever he lands makes that station a ratings winner off the bat. If you don't think he's missed on the Chicago sports scene you ought been with us at the Hawks game the other night as he was stopped by people the whole night and asked when he's coming back. I was happy and excited for Mac as I know he's chomping at the bit to get back on the air and I know he must feel pretty pumped to see complete strangers coming up to him asking when and where he's going to land.

CJH are guys talking sports as to MJH were sports entertainment and appointment radio for many of us here and I wish nothing but the best for CJH but to say Chris is wrong in his opinion would be suger coating it on my part.

Harry didn't say hi. I think I make him uncomfortable because, he thinks I don't like him. That's not necessarily true, for the most part I think he is alright. I don't find him particularly interesting because I think he lacks depth and the conversations with him are saccharin superficially sweet. I lost respect for him a few summers ago when he called out WR for being concerned when drinking and driving. I don't like the way he treats others sometimes. It's not entitlement but he doesn't seem to mind using his "power" for things that are so trivial. His life is predicated on fun with little responsibility. It's not very masculine to me. Chris, Don't fool yourself Harry has little interest in the fans he stayed for the booze.

Jurko has always been very nice and has a great sense of humor. He adjusts to his situation. Right now he is unhappy and it shows in his disinterest or remarks like yesterday. So what? It's happened to me and his reaction is a very normal response. It's a job for Jurko he does it well and when he is done he has his personal time. He is pleasant when you do talk to him. There is nothing wrong with that.

Carmen is also very nice. They know this isn't working. I don't know if they have orders to make this show more vanilla, which may have been started before Carmen took over or if Carmen is just too nice and can't control/gloss over Harry's goofy comments. There were times when Mac would let Harry make a homer statement and then let it go. Carmen turns it into a conversation. Carmen was great with Hood, JD, Silvy and even Chet. They are just in a tough spot.

Dan is not my friend so I'll say whatever. Dan has a very strong work ethic and takes pride in his job and accomplishments. He wants to be successful, he listens to others, he learns, he reflects and it shows in the results. It's different from Carmen...I don't know that Carmen has the personality to control a show when there is a person that is difficult to work with. It's not a knock on him, I just think he might be too nice of a guy.

Chris I think you are way off here. They are all very different. Accept them for what they are...all very nice men.

My bad as I thought Harry waddled over after you sat down . I should of stayed at Heros as going over to Harrah's was a BIG mistake!! Slept with one eye open after the wife saw the bank account.

Its just my opinion on the situation. I wasnt the first one in my party to bring it up either. Jurko got out of there as fast as possible which Im fine with. Harry did a shot with some listeners and stood by them for awhile talking. Carmen literally stood there watching them take down the stage for about 10 mins sipping his beer, not talking to anyone. He than walked over to Harry, shook hands with the guys Harry was talking to, and than stayed about 2 mins longer and left. Im just reporting how I see it. I dont care for the show anymore, but its either them or B&B and Im not going that route.

Chris, if you would have approached Carmen he would have talked to you.

i was wrong about jurko when i said a while ago that i thought he just "played to the crowd". when he approached me at the movie madness with the (then) ladyfriend, he knew exactly who i was and talked to me like a person and not a fan. i felt horrible about accusing him of being phony.

harry, on the other hand, plays to the crowd. if you buy him shots, he's your pal. he still doesn't know who i am, and even jurko seemed annoyed that he didn't remember who i was. not that i'm a big shot like harry is (har har) but every other guy, including zederman, remembers me...as i do show up enough times to remotes and say hello to everyone for them to know who i am. even delevitt knows who i am, and i think i met him *once* before, at the manniversary.

carmen, silvy, and mac are all genuine guys. while mac can probably be a pain in the ass to work for, maybe even with at times, he comes off to me as very honest.

carmen's the nicest guy in radio. the fact that he has a *job* in radio with that title is astounding to me. usually the nice guys don't last.

I don't think Harry is phony. That's who he is, there is just not a lot there. It doesn't make him a bad person, just kind of a dip.

Nice guy not lasting is an excuse or a cop out. Many nice people are effective and are successful in their chosen fields. A lot of times they are the most successful.

I understand everything said about Harry, but he's always been very cordial to me. Jurko and Mac are the same way. Both of them actually end up talking music with me most of the time. I've only met Carmen, Delevitt, Silvy, and even Justin Craig maybe twice each, and they all know who I am. I don't know how the guys are recently, because I haven't been able to make it to an event/remote since the Bowling outing, so its possible things have changed.

Its a shame this show is what it is now, because its just a shell of itself and I can't take B&B for more than a couple of minutes. I like all parties involved on a personal level, but this isn't working and the sooner it ends the better.

there is a point where you just aren't the nice guy anymore. in a lot of endeavors, it's just a matter of time. i'm just surprised about carmen. in a good way.

and i do think harry is phony.

hmmm...interesting thread.
i like all of them for what they do best. and i really don't care to criticize them anymore b/c those traits i don't like haven't changed in 6+ years....

the guys have all been cool to me. i suspect, it is because i was around quite a bit for remotes and few golf outings to develop a familiarity with different hosts. plus, i think what they do is cool. so...i go.

some remotes have been great. some have been terrible. the pod's jersey stuff probably didn't do much to help what chris witnessed last friday. nevertheless, it is not uncommon for hosts to jet after a remote. sometimes they have to leave. besides, if the crowd is dead, why stay?
that being said, the guys have always done good job of stopping by a table of CSFMBers if they know we are there or see us.
i guess the lesson is you introduce yourself to Harry until he remembers your name. :)

Jurko has met me maybe 8, 10 times. A buddy if mine was an intern at AM1000 in 2006, and Jurko doesn't even know his name. One time, he said Jurko introduced himself after my friend had gone clean shaven over a weekend.

No Frank , it's "NOT" Jurko has met me 8, to 10 times....... it's you have met Jurko. You would have to be somewhat important to say Jurko has met you. . I would bet if you came up to him he wouldn't know who you are!
