Jurko, don't back off from your position. Tell Reinsdorf to take another bite of your hairy apple bag. An interview with him does not bring a single extra listener to the show and he really says nothing.

I was lucky enough to get yet another reminder of why I hate Harry. They were in the middle of a conversation about Reinsdorf holding a grudge against Jurko for defending Carm/Silvy 5 years ago. Harry said with a straight face "Reinsdorf really does not care what we say about him on sports radio." HE ADMITTED TO YOUR FACE THAT HE REMEMBERS JURKO'S COMMENTS FROM FIVE YEARS AGO YOU HORSE TOOTHED JACKASS!

I have one of those daily calendars where every day you rip away a page and each page has a different story about why you should remember to hate Harry. The calendar doesn't observe leap year though because it was hard enough for the calendar company to limit it to 365 reasons, let alone have to cut one.

What was JR's awesome line? You'll never get another bite of the apple?

Harry is coming to the end of a very, very long and painful run of polutting the Chicago airwaves. This guy kisses more ass than all of boystown combined. Take Fatha's money and go away. Far away. maybe mr reinsdorf will give harry a scouting job and he and crumbs can hit the road together and demolish every buffet from here to miami.

That's exactly it, Jalapenos...Uncle Jerry didn't seem to like the direction of the interview with "Silvy & Carmen" at the time.

If there's one thing about Harry that ticks me off more than anything- even more than the over the top Cubs love- its the blind defending of Uncle Jerry. I like Reinsdorf, and obviously like the Sox, but he's up for criticism just as much as the next guy. This is one of those times were Jerry is guilty, and Harry refuses to acknowledge so- and we all know the resaon why.

I would like to welcome Good Dolphin and Frank (a surprising guest) to my island.

Jerry plays it very cool as if nothing matters, but in reality it all matters. He manages things he should have zero business in like the PA guys at the bulls game and the music/volume that is played. Once again, most respected business guy around, but I would not let him plan a dinner out with 4 of my best friends or Tracy McGrady for example.

BACKSTORY

Carm/Silvy have Jerry on for some Sox questions (I think) and it was around the time they let some Bulls coach go, or something like that. Whatever happened, they were told not to ask about something in the interview (Even though he doesn't care...lol) and they asked. Reinsdorf responded with a "You will never get a bite of this apple again" referring to the fact he will never speak to them again or maybe even the radio station.

Reinsdorf got what he wanted out of it. Silvy running across the moat to the kingdom to apologize and kiss the ring.

Feel free to chime in where I made my mistakes

thanks for that! I love reading about the "behind the scenes" stuff. I think you should dedicate a whole board area just to stuff like this.

Reinsdorf's ego is sickening, but not suprising for someone in power. Harry's ass-licking has gone too far. This "I like everyone" shit is deranged. He needs acceptance and love (as well as free tickets) and is willing to say anything to the right people to get it.

Awesome, you should totally call that in for Who You Crappin this week, that's the type of genius observation they look for.

You are forgetting a key component. The Sox were negotiating radio rights at the time. ESPN1000 held the existing right but it did not appear that they wanted to even bid on an extension. This incensed old Jerry, as he likes nothing more in this world than to negotiate, and it is tough to do this with only one bidder. He was looking to somehow get back at ESPN1000 and he found himself a couple of patsies.

He went into that interview looking for a public reason to be angry with ESPN1000. He could then change the story from ESPN1000 rejecting him to him rejecting ESPN1000.

It should not be surprising to anyone the Jerry has a huge ego, I think anyone would. Silvy is not the first to kiss the ring and wont be the last, but all that ass kissing makes one think they can do no wrong.

Now he's saying "Play Thome at 1st base!"

Great idea, Harry. Thats about as good of an idea as you getting up on a racehorse again.
