This has to be the single most pointless road trip in the history of sports radio. If they didn't mention every 30 minutes or so that they were in Ireland you would have no idea they had even left the studio.

Hey, its the March Madness, let's go to Ireland! That makes a lot of sense.

Lost sucked, my other hockey team got knocked out of the playoffs and the Hawks have been horrible. So yeah, in the mood today.

Little Birdy once told me no more drinking during shwos, even if during comm breaks. OK it was a big bird!

Some pics of the places they hung at might have been cool

No drinking during the shows, apparently, but a well-buzzed Carmen did make his appearance live from Ireland with Silvy & Waddle yesterday afternoon when I caught a listen and a very "loose" Jurko came on just after that from the restroom.

Needless to say, Harry spared us all an appearance on many levels as the most worthless of the triumvirate.

the interview with liam(?) who worked at the jameson distillery was fun. but i have never warmed up to whiskey. i've done shots of it, and regretted it later in front of the porcelain gods; but the way they described the taste...i just have never found that.

i can enjoy a glass of scotch; i like the "peaty" taste of it. it's the one drink i nurse.

all listening to the show did was make me jealous and want to be in ireland. but i'm sure we got better weather yesterday than they did.

yeah, jameson is a little rough. my bro in law drinks it on the rocks and will have 4 of them in no time.
i'll do a shot, but it's got to be early in the night and i need to chase it.

that being said...i have a bottle in my bar.

Whisky is awesome. Jameson is good, but Maker's Mark is where its at.

Good to know. I was just going to get you the cheapest rum I could find for your birthday.

I'll take Woodman's Reserve over Maker's any day. The basic Jamesons is good in coffee but not really a sipping Irish whiskey. Their aged stuff is a bit better and the Gold is good for those who aren't big on Whiskey as it has a hint of honey. For top notch Irish Whiskey I'd suggest Redbreast ...quite tasty. :drunken:

Caught in a revolving door, and my lungs are suffocating
Working hard is my reward and my job is so frustrating
I'm a martyr to myself and a hero to my family
I can feel a breaking point, a longing to be free

But instead I'll hang in there and suffer with the rest
I'm a drunk and a sentimental man, so -
Dust us off a bottle of your best
Irish whiskey and drink with me
To departed friends, to departed friends

No one else caught this one. What does it mean? Sweet as a college girl's behind I understand but a baby? Nothing sweet about that.

Good catch GD,

I, of course, meant smooth as a baby's behind. Bad thing to mix metaphors.
