This should make people happy. New deal for Teinowitz ESPN Radio's WMVP-AM (1000) said Thursday it has re-signed afternoon drive co-host Harry Teinowitz to a new three-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Teinowitz made headlines in May when he was removed from the Chicago White Sox locker room because of his behavior. But a WMVP spokesman insists that was an isolated incident and that Teinowitz has been a model radio host since. For the last nine years, Teinowitz has been part of the sports talk station's afternoon drive show, "The Afternoon Saloon," with co-hosts John Jurkovic and Carmen DeFalco |

They should have replaced him with North. The shock value alone would boost them in the ratings book. |

Has to be low to mid 6 figures. 120 -150. ( for those who needed an example of what low to mid 6 figures looks like) |

The Show That Shall Not Be Named caters to the Brand, while Steve in Elmhurst is just another meatball caller on The Show Of Record. |

Although I've alluded to it in a couple threads. |

ES is not respected on B&B, as they can't figure out where he's calling from or who he is; if they need to find Fozzie or Miss Piggy to appease him...it's all too confusing for them. He's right at home on the saloon, where there's at least one other muppet on the air. |

Harry does a pretty good job on his Sunday morning show Fantasy Football Island (8:00-9:00 Sunday mornings) and I think he adds something to the Saloon as well . I think your point is a good one though. I like Harry as an individual. He's always been good to me and that may well affect my judgement. But I know that my judgement as to which show I prefer, has NOTHING to do with the way either show caters to me, or treats me with less respect. It has everything to do with one show being entertaining and fun (Saloon) and the other being boring and irritating (B&B). I gave B&B a chance to win me over, after Mac was fired. They failed to win my listenership and after I went back to the saloon, I realized quickly that it was a show I enjoyed a whole lot more, even if Mac was no longer part of the show. They beat B&B in the last few ratings book for a reason....they are better. |

From my understanding The Show That Shall Not Be Named has not been competitive with The Show of Record for the last year. It is not a surprise that you would enjoy a show that caters to the lowest form of meatball callers. Birds of a feather. |

It has more to do with enjoying a show where all the radio personalities actually WATCH the games and are knowledgeable about sports and the athletes that participate in them. I don't care for a show where 1 guy is always talking sabre-metrics and the other doesn't even watch the game, so about all he can contribute is the "by cracky" line every now and then. The Saloon is just the more informative and enjoyable listen. |
