On Thursday Jurko set an Over/Under on sacks by Peppers and Ware in the Bears/ Cowboys game at 5. Then after Harry and Carmen said they would take the under, Jurko said he was going OVER on that total. I called in and offered Jurko a bet and gave him 4/1 odds on the bet (round of golf) to entice Jurko into taking the bet. The big fish bit on the tasty bait and accepted the bet. On Friday, Harry and Carmen got in on the action and bet Jurko lunch over it, with Jurko demanding they also give him the 4/1 odds that I had set for our bet. They agreed and now Jurko owes Carmen and Harry Lunch and Elmhurst Steve a round of golf. Neither Peppers nor Ware had a single sack in the game. :D

What if Jurko lets them play golf and sends you lunch?

Nah....if I wanted to wager a meal, I would have suggested that. Besides, I don't think Harry really plays golf.

You should fail to collect on this bet like you did your dollar.

Most people have honor and integrity and pay off on their losses. I'm sure Jurko's good for it, just as I would have been had I lost.

I have a feeling that you think this story is a lot more interesting than it is.
