I have always felt ESPN is like the pop music of guy/sports talk radio. It's not hard hitting, really never push the envelope, never talk guy stuff, but they are POP as in POPULAR. Thus building a new studio on Michigan Avenue could be pretty impressive for all ratings? But Jurko is gonna need to dress up now daily! |

Hmm. They'll all have to dress up to a certain extent. But I don't see it. Psychos licking the window from the outside does nothing to enhance the radio program. What are you going to do? Comment on the attire of people walking by? It would make more sense if there was a camera associated with the program (e.g., TV.) |

Why would WMVP need this? They have like 5 hours of local programming daily. It would make more sense for The Score to do something like this. |

D Bag, ever been to Vegas? Think M&M's needs a store on the Strip? Does Coke need a Bottle on the Strip? Retail Space is a premium because you get constant exposure. ESPN is a Brand Name and while "Jurko" might not be a brand name (yet), thats why they are on the Street. Figure they need Studio space and maybe this 1,000 SF is 3 times the rent of regular space...so another 25,000 more, is the exposure worth it? Or does everyone needs Bus boards! NORTHy! |

I know ESPN had a restaurant on the strip, and they closed it because it was hemorrhaging money. That's not a good example to back up your statement. If they were broadcasting 24/7, it would make sense, but 75% of the time, this studio will be empty. |

It's consumed heavily in areas that don't have real sports talk. |

You think they closed it because it lost money? Are you aware the corp budget for Disney?????? They closed it because they didn't see the impact in marketing! U think they gave a shit about making money in these????? These are billboards with shitty nachos!!!! |

Work across the street from here and checked it out for the first time last week. The studio is really small, but looks nice. But it's REALLY close to the street, so when people are at the window gawking they are about 5 feet from the folks on air which makes it incredibly awkward. |

Jurko looked uncomfortable. |

That new studio really translates to the radio...How exactly would this increase ratings? |
