Get ready for some good old-fashioned sports talk.

No calling women objects here.

Sure you have to put up with an increased Teinowitz presence. But that's a small price to pay to avoid that smarmy douchebag down the dial.

Listen.

Replace Tiny with J Hood and I'm in.

Until then...

It sounds shitty, but I won't even give them a try.

I commend you for doing this. I wish more people would follow the model of "I don't like show X, so I found something different." It's refreshing on this board...

That said. You couldn't have picked worse show... :D

As someone who gets up between 10 and 10:30 AM every day I don't have many thoughts on M+H.

Howard Griffith in for Jurko today.

Hopefully that means less Harry.

Honestly, Bernsie made a good point. IDK about the "object" comment, probably taking it a bit too far, but he is right that she is a beauty model, so where was Brent wrong? It's not as if she was just some college girl who happened to be banging the QB of the nation's top College Program, she's a beauty pageant contestant. It's not as if he was being particularly vulgar either.

Did you have a comment about this show?

If not, take it elsewhere.

:D

To answer your question, it was fine. Calling her an object was silly, but whatever.

The girl was strutting on stage in a bikini with heels. She objectified herself, I'm sure she has great personality.

PS tiny is awful on the radio.

Talking to a guy from Minnesota about Singletary and Mike Priefer.

Howard has done a nice job of keeping Harry quiet.

He promised him some weed after the show is over...

I agree with prior posters, I could do this show hard if they replaced Harry. It isn't his voice, no, it's his bad thoughts and his bad jokes.

I was a big fan of Carmen and Silvy, Jhood could be good....ESPN just seems to not care all that much. Field a better drive-time show and you will have my ears and my heart.

Until then it is music and RoeCon.

Well it could be worse in afternoon drive. ESPN Radio has "Coach & Company" on the national signal hosted by Jonathan Coachman. That's the show that replaced Doug Gottlieb at the same time Carmen & Jurko are on.

We all were. Their "Save the Music Saturday" shows were awesome radio. I remember those shows fondly....and then WhiteSox baseball!
And up until ESPN (Jim Pastor-Jusin Craig) let Mac go, breaking C&S up was the biggest fuck up AM1000 had made.
The Jay Mariotti show should have been Silvy and Carmen.

That can't be denied Matt.

With a three man booth it is easy to tune him out.

I can stand Harry, he brings something greater than nothing to the show, just needs Mac there there to put him in his place in a way that doesn't make it bad. Jurk's criticism and prodding of him, while surely deserved at times, is an uncomfortable listen since it's just mean. I'm sure people that hate Harry think it's cool in a "Dan Bernstein dismisses dumb callers" way, but I don't enjoy the listen in either case.

Hold on...

Jurk openly talks shit to Harry and condescends to him?

I may tune in for a listen again soon.
