I remain a big fan of Silvy's work. Actually, I've found the Silvy and Carmen substitute shows quite entertaining--far less contemptuous than anything Bernstein touches, and less formulaic than the routinely tired and tiresome MJH.

Well now that others have posted let me say I don't understand Score is Doomed's strong hatred towards Silvy. I don't know where you are coming up with Silvy acting like he's a know it all.

Silvy/Carmen are fine - I ask the hosts of the show to talk sports, and to not necessarily have a topic that you have to call in about. They do that - some of their show ideas I don't like, but they talk Chicago sports, and I think they do a good job.

Some of the venim on this board (like the original post) is just crazy - we're talking about a sports show, not life or death!

Yes, I'd say they certainly talk sports more frequently, more analytically, and with a greater degree of specificity than do MJH or B&B. Granted, Carmen can be pretty milktoast on a regular basis, but I like Silvy's edginess and the chemistry between the two.
