Hey, nice job with the webcast, 1000. Great day for it to once again be down. After suffering 3 hours of Parcels talk, its nice to see that the local component of 1000 can't even be bothered to broadcast at all.

Maybe it's only the .mp3 stream.. I'll try the .wma and/or .rm.

Yep, just the .mp3. Still, get it in freaking gear, 1000. How long will this be a problem? Eternity? Come on.

Media player is garbage compared to winamp. WMVP is the problem. Seriously, mp3 streaming is so simple a retarded chimp could master it in a single lesson. I don't understand the problem over there.

Don't count on it. As I emailed the guys, I believe tomorrow's web-poll should be "Which goes down more, the 1000 webcast, or a toothless whore."

It worked for what...30 minutes? We'll just have to learn to lower our expectations. After all, this is the same brilliant ESPN 1000 management team that gives us Dan Patrick and Sean Salisbury every day. Why would we expect them to be capable of hiring the right people to fix a web stream?

Trying it today, it seems that this is somehow related to the national switch of the website; the intro mentions you'll "soon" be able to listen to 1000. The links for the mp3 and rm streams are gone. Thanks for the warning, 1000. Oh, and the unnecessary loss of service; top notch.

Matt, it is deliberate that the webstreaming doesn't work between 9a and 12p. WMVP doesn't want their embarrassing show to extend beyond the Chicagoland area.

LEASE NOTE: We are still experiencing technical difficulties with our LOCAL internet stream, so your connection may be intermittent. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to have things back to normal soon. This issue will not affect ESPN Radio's national stream, which you can access by using the links below.

Yeah, it's up again momentarily, not unlike a Heroin junky between fixes. It'll be down again soon enough, I'm sure.

Matt, I believe Mac just called you out.

Something to the effect of "If you are listening in Crown Point, forget the webstream and buy a radio."

He even offered to pay for it.

What's his advice to the people of Downers Grove, move? The broadcast doesn't always reach the western surburbs.

Agreed Spaulding.

Maybe Mac can buy us all new houses in the prime listening area if he is feeling generous.

I've always wanted to live in Virginia.

Yeah I heard.

Hey, Mackey, it's pretty simple:

I'm in an office in a steel building. I can get radio fine out back in the warehouse, I get the radio fine in my car when I'm out of the office; but when I'm in the office, there's these things called "electrical devices." They tend to go ahead and emit radiation that makes AM radio very unpleasant, especially given the fact that the signal is weak after passing through the steel siding of this building and the concrete block of this office. It's really neither here nor there, though, because the point is that the webcast is unreliable to the point of embarrassment. If you have to buy me something, get me one of those Urlacher jerseys, please. ;)
