I was eating lunch at work with a co-worker and while watching ESPN they had coverage of Barbaro's euthanization followed by an episode of Outside the Lines featuring a story about Tank Johnson. We thought coverage of each has been over the top and silly, and I said they'll probably try to link Tank Johnson to Barbaro's euthanization. So, I sent the following to MJ&H this evening: Between the over the top coverage of "Tank Johnson: Madman", and the almost comically reverential coverage given to Barbaro the last several months up to and including his being euthanized today, I'm waiting for the crawl across ESPN this evening to read "Breaking News: ESPN sources report that Tank Johnson euthanized Barbaro" and then going to Ed Werder outside Dade County HQ as Tank gets brought in for questioning. Ridiculous... |

I heard they put the animal to sleep by playing tapes of the Mike North Morning Show in his stall, but this is unconfirmed at this time. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is currently investigating the rumor. |
