When I met Hawkeye at Shoeless Joe's a few weeks ago, he said that Danieal Manning is the Bears version of Scott Podsednik.

Manning sucks. Much like against Reggie Bush on his TD play, Danielle was tip toeing throught he tulips prior to whiffing on a tackle again last night.

Good Lord, Jerry Angelo needs to address the safety situation in the draft. If Manning and Harris are the answers, I'd hate to hear the question.

I'm with you on that Grid. I like all of our safeties as backups but there is not a single one outside of Brown that I like as a starter. It's shocking to see guys who became starters very early in their careers with so many glaring holes in their game.

Manning is a good athlete that continued to make rookie mistakes all year long. Chris Harris cannot play SS and miss tackle after tackle. If Mike Brown comes back, and that is a big if, Manning needs to make huge strides this offseason.

Hey wait, I think that was me Grid. Either way it's true. I posted it a few weeks ago in a comparison of the 85 bears to this years team and it hasn't changed after yesterday.

Can the Bears sign Adam Archuleta dirt cheap this offseason? He's bound to be waived.

I wouldn't want him as a starter, but he's a lot better than Todd Johnson.

Well, that wouldn't be the first thing I couldn't remember from that day at Shoeless Joe's then Hawkeye. ;)

That would be a huge waste of cash. He was exposed this season for what he really is. A below average safety.

I like Todd Johson and I wanted to see more of him. He is a big hitter and would have helped against the run.

He lost his starting job cause he can't cover one on one, and in the skins system the safties are asked to do that. I think he would fit nicely into the Bears zone system.

Yeah, in fact, he already has fit in well in Lovie's system. Plus I do think he will be available very cheap because his rep is ruined.

He couldn't master Greg (Biff) Blache's 'trail technique'.

Speaking of Biff, did you hear Jurko actually 'defending' Blache's DE technique on Monday. Send me a memo when Biff wins something Jurko and stop giving the guy oral handjobs.
