I was disappointed with Mac today. I would think that being such a big Shawshank fan, Mac would recognize a redemption story when he saw it. Rex Grossman's is a story of redemption.

Right now, we are only about a third of the way through. We're at the part where Rex, adjusting to adversity from an affluent upbringing ( ), just got gang-raped by the Indianapolis Colts and we're all pretty sure he's going to kill himself.

Soon, though, we will be getting to the part where he realizes he can use his talents to make the Bears a better team and get people off his back (so to speak). Not too long after that, he'll be showing Kyle Orton the ropes until Angelo finds out Orton knows too much and kills him. Wait, maybe, I'm getting it confused now.

Anyway, in 10 years when we are watching Rex Grossman - Beyond the Glory, this will be the low point with the poignant music right before all the good stuff.

I hope. And hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things.

I enjoyed the guy who compared Rex to Oz...

He lacks a heart at times

He lacks a brain at the most inopportune of times

And he has no courage, as evidenced when he scrambled(?) to the left, and then lobbed a pass into double/triple coverage when he had Thomas Jones out in front of him to kick ass and take names.

I just saw where Cooper, Eli and Peyton Manning are holding Quaterback camps in Hammond , Louisiana in June and for only $295 dollars we can send Rex to the week long camp which Rex will have one on one time with Peyton who will work on Rex's foot work , reading blitzes, holding on to snaps and most importantly , how to throw to the right color jersey.

I say we all send Rex a dollar and by May, we should have enough to send him to Peyton's camp .

Seconded.

But why stop there? Send Greise and Orton too (maybe we could get a group discount?).

Send all three to the camp.

Then give them the triple bunk bed Three Stooges style.

Hilarity ensues.
