Hey Ryan, what did you ever ultimately end up winning in Silvy and Carm's Fantasy Football League?

You won that over a month ago, didn't you?

You need to send an email to that chick in the newspaper that fixes up consumer complaints.

Miller Lite did a pretty good job with it, they rented out the Ballys convention center for the game didn't nickel and dime us with any of the expenses, probably a quarter of the 1600 people attending the free trip worked for Miller Lite themselves. I had never been out there for the SB and would highly recommend it, Bears jerseys out numbered the Colts jerseys on the strip at least 5 to 1, now if it weren't for that damn game!!

Yea, back on December 20-ish I think. There was a mishap with the prize. I've been contacted by sales and they are taking care of it. They've been communicating and I know those guys will take care of it.

Really wish I had given you that 20 bucks on Hester scoring first. Damn it.

it included the flight, transportation from/to Vegas airport, 3 nights at Ballys, a party Friday night at the Palms and the party for the SB (miller lite was the only beverage free at these events) hence me actually making it into work today, pretty good gig for showing up at a random remote!

a guy next to me had a hundred bucks at 20-1 on hester scoring first TD, between the leaps of joy I was tempted to kick him in the nuts.

A guy I work with had $100 @ 800:1 (That's $80,000 for the math impaired) that Hester would score on the opening kick-off. In other words, the Bears had to win the coin toss, elect to receive, the Colts had to kick to Hester (I would have bet $100 the Colts wouldn't kick it to him) & he had to run it back for a TD. His Dad told him it was a sucker bet but placed it for him anyway. :D

Where in God's name did he get those odds? I need a new bookie.. :?

No Matt, they were longer odds than just first guy to score is Hester - this one is specifically on the opening kickoff.

It's possible, I think.
The longest odds I saw for Hester scoring 1st were 25-1
If you parlay that up with Bears winning the coin toss, it goes to about 45-1
So the 3rd part of the parlay would have to be will there be a touchdown on the opening kick off @ 20-1

Longer odds I can understand. But 800:1?!?

Author:  Mustang Rob [ Wed Feb 07, 2007 2:37 pm ]
Post subject:

We need Coast's expertise.

My book caps some parlay wagers @ $50, and won't allow some long odds to be paired up.
I'm pretty they all do it to avoid exposure.

So even though 800-1 is mathematically possible, I'm not sure any book would take that bet.
