An early big thumbs down to CBS for their coverage of the Bing Crosby Pro-am on Sat. While the tourey leaders were getting little coverage because of the multi-course aspect of the event, we were subjected to continuous views of some second rate hack from Las Vegas. I believe his name was Danny Gans. His celebrity impressions were almost as bad as his golf game.

What's the deal CBS? Is this douche going to be starring in some soon to be forgotten reality show? Give us the golf!!

Thumbs down to Sean Salisbury for showing up 15 minutes late to a live remote and not even bothering to call and let his partner know he was running behind. In addition, he subjected the listeners to a lame excuse that the cab driver got lost on his way to McCormick place. To borrow a line from Jack Nicholson...."Sell crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here!"

I agree with you that CBS focused too much on the celebs on Saturday.
I don't care to see Bill Murray, Ray Romano, Kevin James, Gorge Lopez or any other celebs off the A, B or C list.

That said, Danny Gans Vegas show is a blast.
CBS did not do justice to his singing talents.

Did Charles Barkley play this year? Watching him is painful.

By rule I believe if someone is semi athletic, has enough time and money to practice, he or she could be at least a 10-12 handicapper. Charles Barkley is the exception to my rule.

Joe did you submit your post?

I did not submit it. I figured if they were going to read it they would just take it off here. Maybe I am wrong though. I think the criticism is fair game though.

made this post in the 'know its feb' thread

thumbs down to whoever the clowns were that did the bulls suns game last (sunday) nite. in talking about espn's 30,000th sportscenter being next, at least 2 of them referred to the broadcast as the shows' "thirtieth- thousand" and not the correct way, 'thirty thousandth.'

He used to be a 6-8 handicapper, went to a swing coach to get him down to scratch and it messed with his head. He was never the same after that and actually I believe is giving up the game.
