Giving this is a HIGH Traffic thread and MJH could be involved one day , I pose the question of how Mike North is calling for the heads of 3 guys on this board and just called out NAS as a punk .

He ripped this board and the people on it for comments made by Rodeo Van .My question is how did he track the guys down and did BF have to turn the info over?

He was going to take legal action for being misquoted from what I was hearing .

Someone fill me in .

Well, the one guy had sent an email with his full name to the station. As for the other two (RodeonVann being one of them) I don't know.

I think what North is doing now is hoping that this group of people will start listening to his show since he has now called out Nas, who just happens to post more than anyone else. The man is desperate for attention these days and this might be another way to get some new listeners. Who knows. I'll go back to his listening to him the day Fred grows a pair...

It's a last ditch publicity stunt as his contract winds down.

WTF else is he supposed to talk about?

Although I did enjoy his Chico talk today. Mike went against the popular opinion on Ron Rivera. Imagine that! How unpredictable.

Seems Nas sent in an email and then Mike went off on his "chat board" rant again saying that they are bad and foster a mob mentality. Then, in a twist, Annie and Fred agreed.

Something set him off a minute or two later and he went off about how Nas is a "rat" (he didn't seem that fried before so I'm not sure why he got so mad about it). He said the chat boards are dangerous (paraphrasing) since we could get in trouble I believe.

I give Nas permission to come out of his self-imposed exile to give us the lowdown. Also, Annie seemed to know that Nas posts here. I wonder how? :wink:

I guess I don't understand the first amendment. Mike North has the right to say what he wants. And everyone else has the right to tell him what an idiot he is for making those comments. Where do the lawsuits stem from?

As Reason pointed out in the other thread and I forgot, Nas copied or sent an email to Paul Agase and I think that is where the "rat" comment came from.

North said he has a hard enough time with management and can't believe listeners would be trying to nail him.

The lawsuits come from the original guys sending emails to North's sponsors and misquoting him (slightly).

I knew I was making a serious breach of board etiquette in asking. Kind of like Schwartz skipping right to the "Triple Dog Dare" in A Christmas Story. STU's lead post had me wondering.

Is anyone a lawyer? Obviously a listener can not be sued for emailing a sponsor. As far as the misquote, can a listener be expected to recite word for word something they heard on the radio unless it was obvious the listener was completely making up what the person said? Mike North has no class and Im embarrased everytime I see him nationally giving his Chicago view.

I believer Nas has stated that he previously e-mailed Anne and that she responded. I cannot imagine she reads the board regularly, as this place is particularly brutal to her.

North is so full of himself and full of shit. Yesterday he was talking about Michael Irving being let go and mentioned how he was caught with a "crack pipe" last year. Am I mistaken or wasn't it a pipe with weed in it? Big difference there, but I'm supposed to believe that it's okay for Mike to intentionally embellish a story like that when on the other hand he's suing listeners because they missed a word but got the intent of a statement right? Mike, you are a coward hypocrite asshole.

You know what is dangerous, though? The other day, I was posting here (with my pants down around my ankles, of course, because that's what North said we all do) and then it was time to start my paper route (because North--or was it Fred--said all of us here had paper routes). I was in a hurry and forgot to pull my pants up. Man, don't ever try to ride a bike down a snowy street and toss papers with your pants around your ankles! Very difficult!
