Has anyone else noticed that they aren't doing the local updates during M &M? I think it's a good move since the national guy typically repeats most of what the local guy says. While I may not agree with what JD or Silvy are saying, at least I'm not hearing the same information twice every twenty minutes. |

Yeah. I've noticed it. Brian Dolgan doesn't start until mid days now. Even when Dolgan did morning updates they also had a national guy do a Chicago specific update. I always thought that was strange. Why have Dolgan there? Well, now they no longer have him there for the mornings. |

It seems to me that they've done away with the national updates (replacing them with the "nuggets" from the local gang) but kept the national/local updates. I prefer it that way and wouldn't mind them doing that during DP as well. |

Seems they are doing Chicago-centric updates with a national mouth. And apparently they have a guy doing it who knows nothing about local teams. This morning, in a national update, they headlined the local news and we got the brilliant reporting that "Illiniois is seeded 4th in the tourney and will play Holy Cross." Uhhh..earth to update guy....Illinois is not the same school as SOUTHERN ILLINOIS. Does anyone at ESPN or especially ESPN 1000 listen to this stuff and recognize how silly that makes their station sound? Apparently not. And Brian Dolgin was on this morning and he did some kind of local update and made no mention of the error. Then, the guy repeated the error 30 minutes later. And we thought the Duke was bad. |

I know the 5am update everyday is a Chicago only update which drives me nuts. I have a little interest in NBA scores from the nite before and I dont get them at this update. They tell me about the Cubs and Sox exhibition games when they should be telling me if the Lakers beat the Spurs. |

Anyone notice a strange noise during the "local" updates the last 2 days. I think it's a windows laptop noise that indicates low battery or a calendar reminder of some sort. |

The new Sgae steel 5 minute sportcenters on the TV show are starting to annoy me...they happen too often. If I wanted to watch ESPN News, I'd watch ESPN news. |

She is pretty annoying. They need to get that ESPN Deportes chick to do all of those updates. I would Tivo that. |
