From awful announcing...

"ESPN anchor Dana Jacobson made an absolute fool of herself, swilling vodka from a Belvedere bottle, mumbling along and cursing like a sailor as Mike & Mike rested their heads in their hands in embarrassment. Eddie Griffin came to the podium to defend her after she was booed by the crowd. Ross eventually had to pull her off stage, too."

Awesome stuff. It sounded like the night was a complete failure. Maybe this will ground the two's heads a little bit. ESPN couldn't pull off a good night for these two by getting anyone of significance to show up.

Comedian Eddie Griffin ("Undercover Brother") was a big crowd favorite as he railed on everyone, particularly paying attention to the guests of honor. "I kind of know my career is over when I'm hired to roast two white guys I never (expletive) heard of."

and

Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed had jokes written for him but didn't read any. Admitting he was drunk, Reed was pulled off the stage by Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis and Klecko. "I didn't realize his middle name was 'Can't,'" Ross joked.

sound like they were gold, and this...

Luckily, rock-pop trio Lifehouse played a semi-acoustic set to open the evening, performing a 20-minute, hit-filled set that included "Hanging By a Moment," "You and Me," "Falling Even More in Love With You" and "Who We Are." While short, the set was certainly sweet as frontman Jason Wade showed off his great vocal chops. It definitely added some value to the night.

from the author of the article is as unintentionally hilarious as any of the jokes from that night it sounds like.

Hey Ryan, where is the 5k dick picture?

I guess my post asking how the Giants haven't been playing at a high level either. I don't think I've ever had a dick picture. Maybe 6k? I'm not worthy of such things on this board. I leveled off long ago.

This show sounds like it was so bad, that the attendees actually wished they were listening to Mike and Mike.

The worst part of the weekend for Dana Jacobsen was waking up on a small corner of the bed next to Charlie Weis.

Weren't they supposed to put it on the website? Was it so bad that they bagged it?

They said last Friday that they would announce on Monday where their fans could watch a shortened version of the Roast, so since they didn't say anything there must not be enough decent material for a 30 minute re-cap.

It sounds like everybody had to have their drunk asses hauled off stage. The only postable material is probably Eddie Griffin and the host. I would love to see a drunken Dana Jacobson getting booed though

Wow, Ditka getting tee'd up here:

And you're not kidding about Dana Jacobsen, I wonder why she doesn't get any type of suspension considering the BS Mac, Jurko and Harry get into for much less:

among Dana Jaconbsen's drunken statements made from the event....(with Charlie Weis in attendance)....

"f... Notre dame"
"f....touchdown Jesus"
and - the step-aside-because-lightning-is-about-to-strike... "f.... Jesus."

I wonder if M&M feel any guilt over having the roast that got Jacobsen in so much trouble.

That makes no sense, why would they feel any guilt whatsoever?

Mike and Mike shouldn't feel guilty. This was an ESPN production. Dana shouldn't feel guilty. It was a god damn roast. Nobody should feel guilty. Nobody should apologize.

I think having to attend this event was enough punishment for anyone in attendance.

LMAO.

I like this quote:

Quote:
Asked whether the network planned to rethink its policy regarding employees taking part in such events, ESPN spokesman Mike Soltys said, "We won't be participating in another roast anytime soon."

I couldn't wait to hear what Michelle Tafoya was going to say.
