Mike Greenberg has been with ESPN for many, many years now. As a result of being at the same employer for about a decade now in Bristol, CT., "Greeny" now has several weeks of vacation time at "The Worldwide Leader in Sports". It's a company perk for constantly talking about the Yankees, Red Sox, Tiger Woods, the Patriots, steroids in sports, etc. & having to sit next to Mike Golic for as long as "Mike & Mike in the Morning" has been on the air, both on ESPN Radio & simulcast on ESPN2. Golic has similar vacation time. That explains why you keep seeing & hearing the likes of Erik Kuselias, Mark Schlereth, ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney & Steve Phillips constantly sit in for the guys. A certain former ESPN personality had similar vacation time before he left last year at this time. I think you've heard of him, Dan Patrick. |

I actually forgot Monday was Labor Day as well. Guess I had one too many around the grill tonight. And yes I remember Dan Patrick working about 1 Friday a month when he was with espnradio. |
