I don't really care what they get back. He is bad defensively, always hurt and can not hit without the juice. I still want them to acquire Hannigan. Him and Clevenger would be the lest sexy catching tandem but it would work very well.

I do not get your hard on for Hanigan. Dude hit 260 last year and is barely over 200 this year.

Like Bob said...the era of the cinci pitchers is 2 numbers lower when he catches. I like the Angels/Scioscia philosophy on catching where defense and game calling matters and any hitting is a plus. Hannigan is usually a good hitter with low power numbers but is regarded as a great game caller and defensive catcher. His average is down this year but he is the backup and by the same token Clevenger is the backup and hitting over .550..... so give or take some due to the lack of ab's.

I'm not sure about Theo's plan with Judd. That's their business.

I have no idea if they will be successful. So far, I like what I see. The Cub have been doing things pretty much the same way as long as I can remember. It has not been a good way, to say the least. Its been 104 years, what's three more?
