Why keep him around then? He clearly doesn't have it anymore, or he's still hurt. This team has been a little better than a lot of people though, and he's already cost them a couple of W's because he sucks. Pay him for the year, tell him thanks, and move on. Hell, let him "retire" and have a little ceremony if he wants.

I agree. Wood has been one of my favorite Cub players, but you cannot keep trotting him out there in close games.
