Dont appreciate Soriano, are mental patients, and are worse than Tim Baffoe.

per Tim Baffoe.

I don't appreciate Soriano...I am not a fan of his game..awful defense and very inconsistent at the plate..always swinging for the fences and breaking balls in the dirt..18 million for that is an awful investment.

I dont read articles from people that willingly engage in Human Centipede games with BernStine.

The issue with Soriano is that he is about a $5-$7 mill player. This might be his highpoint over the past few and upcoming years

He is a waste of resources. Thats the issue. Kinda surprised they didnt get any offer for him this year. Even for 10 cents on the dollar.

From what I understand, the Giants were interested but Alfie would rather stick around the Shady Acres Retirement home. Don't want to throw things out of whack but hopping Into a pennant race.

Doesn't it trouble you as cubs fans to have so many players over the years who would rather stick with the comfort of losing and no expectations even with a few months left on a contract, than the excitement and money of winning?

Yes I have been saying this for years.. You don't want guys like that on your team..content with losing is a breeding ground for a loser mentality .

It would if I were counting on any of those players or if the regime that ushered in that atmosphere was still in power

It has been going on for years.

Don't count on Soriano all you want. He will most likely be wearing a Cub uniform at the current ETA for a competitive team.

I dont think that's likely. Probably a 50/50 shot they keep him. The probability of a trade goes up with every sunset (getting closer to the end of the deal)

But I dont worry about Soriano's commitment, anyway. We know exactly what he is.
