Never knew why Theo and Co. ever kept this guy around? His track record is pretty bad and he was the #2 overall guy in the hierarchy.

Reading some of his predraft comments on pitchers are the same as his famous Hayden Simpson pick.

Then I figured it out. Theo and Jed keep this fool around to talk to the media, he sends false signals out to everyone else. Thats his job, whether he knows it or not.

Wilkins was the one who wanted Matt Weiters, but the Cubs wouldnt pay draft picks so they were stuck with Josh Vitters. Hayden Simpson is another example, everyone thought he would be a late round pick but the Cubs took him in the 1st so they didnt have to shell out cash. If he had owners who would actually pay and invest in draft picks, his track record would be much better.
