Wow! The last line is the biggest one in the story. Theo loves this guy so much but can't give him a 2 year contract? What a total classless move by the Cubs.

Not sure, I read that as 3+2, not 1+2.

Oh yeah,I see it now. Skimmed over that...thanks! 3 years is a good deal for an untested guy. I hope they give this guy some players!!! Maybe they got rid of Sveum because of the slow start both seasons when he DID have a better team before the flipping.

It doesn't matter. He won't see that third year. But hey, he speaks Spanish so he obviously can develop all those latin prospects like Bryant, Almora and Baez.

Yeah,that whole bi-lingual thing is bullshit. The Cubs had Ivan DeJesus coaching here 3 years ago. Let's hire him back to coach and get the MOST QUALIFIED MAN TO MANAGE.
