What a frickin' shock. Another Sandberg suck fest article today. This is classic Rozner. First the article is 75% quotes, which is typical. I question whether you could even consider this a written article. It's basically a bunch of Sandberg and Larry Bowa quotes. Next he turns the Sandberg/Rollins Spring training spat into "Ryne's a genius" by taking control of the clubhouse. Let me be clear, if this happened to the Cubs/Sox/Bears, he would rip the coach to no end. But Ryne can do no wrong, so he spins it into a smart move.

So here we are with four Chicago teams playing games, two of them about to start the playoffs, and Barry gives us back to back Sandberg articles. Of course there's the implicit shots at the Cubs for not hiring Ryne as their big league manager.

FWIW, I think Ryne deserved a shot to manage the Cubs. He earned his big league job. But I would much rather read an article about one of our local teams. It's fair to have a few lines about Ryne especially since he was a part of the Cubs festivities this weekend. But give the Maddux/Ryne/Tiger crap a rest.
