Uh oh....say it aint so Castro...

http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/sports/2014/12/08/mlb-players-starlin-castro-and-engel-beltre-allegedly-involved-in-shooting-in/

Major League Baseball players Starlin Castro, the Chicago Cubs shortstop, and Engel Beltré, a former outfield prospect for the Texas Rangers who was injured for most of the 2014 season, are being sought for questioning by police in Santo Domingo in connection to a firefight at a nightclub.

According to Diario Libre, the two ballplayers have been “invited” to stop by the Homicide Department of the National Police to answer questions about events from Saturday night at a Santiago discotheque called Dubai.

The incident left three people wounded with gunshots and being treated at two separate medical facilities.

A spokesperson for the Santiago police, Col. Damián Arias Matos, said that one of the baseball players—he wouldn’t say which one—was visible on security footage carrying a firearm.

Dominican musicians Anthony Santos and Omega were performing when the firefight broke out. Neither were injured.

Castro has spent five years in the majors, all of them with the Cubs. He’s a career .284 hitter and a three-time National League All-Star. In 2014, he hit .292 with 14 home runs and 65 runs batted in.

Beltré was signed by the Boston Red Sox in 2006 and was traded to the Rangers in 2013 along with two other players for Eric Gagne. He played in 22 games for the Rangers that season and was expected to make the team’s roster out of spring training in 2014, but he fractured his tibia and hardly played.

It isn’t clear if his career will be able to recover.

This was already cleared up a couple days ago.
Supposedly Castro was at the concert with family and wasn't involved in the shooting, giving or receiving end.

Ahhh. OK. I just saw it on a news feed and had not heard or read anything about it. Thanks!

Why would you name your club Dubai? Was the name Club ISIL already taken?

I'm just regurgitating what Wittenmeyer tweeted a couple days ago.

Cowboys still suck.

They will likely finish 10 & 6 or 11 & 5 and could very well miss the playoffs! Finally over the 8 & 8 hump and still can't get in ?. Big game for them on Sunday night at Philadelphia....but a likely loss. I know you'll be pulling for them! :P

Unbelievable to me that a team could finish 11-5 and miss the playoffs. I know 10-6 has missed before, but has 11-5 ever missed?

While a shit 7-9 team will be division champs. Makes a lot of sense.

The Patriots were 11-5 when Cassel took over and they missed, if I recall.

Crazy. 85 Broncos as well, but that was back when only 5 teams from each conference made the playoffs.

Just driving back to office from lunch and I hear the "intelligent" one on B&B come on in a very serious voice reading "breaking news"...

He read verbatim the article I posted above. Then they went to break. Maybe bernstein should read this board a little closer
