So he is putting last year on the bad shoulder, which I dont doubt he had, but he actually looked fine on D at third. Watched the guy warm up all the time at 3rd as they made a big deal about the shoulder, didnt look like an issue at all.

Not even reading the whole article, but he 'shortened the swing...blah bha"

Go out and show me, then write the article about what you did to get better, until then Keep it.

Just a matter of time before he is traded so let's hope he builds some value.

Would be a nice add on to a Cole Hamels deal, maybe him, Baez, T. Wood, & W. Castillo.

Nobody wants him. And it's gonna take more than that to get Hamels. Start with Russell and McKinney and add some very young pitchers.

As the season goes on, that price comes down.

Russell seems to be untouchable at this point.

That's silly. Beane is the best GM in the game. If he traded Russell and McKinney for two months of Samardzija, it would be idiotic not to trade them for four cost-controlled years of Hamels.

Depends on how high they think the ceiling is on Russell. Remember the free agent class of 2016 for pitchers is huge so if they view Russell is an elite talent, no way they trade him when they can just buy another arm next year for the same money Hamels is owed.

I think he hits .230 with an OPS in the high .700's for the first month of the season, and he eventually finds himself on another ball club by June. I'd be happy with that performance from him until Bryant takes 3B, if that is where Bryant eventually plays.

Right, but a pitcher as good as Hamels is going to cost more than Lester, not to mention the draft pick.

He needs to be traded before the season starts or the Phillies are in trouble. The market for quality SP is going to be very saturated come the trade deadline. Price, Fister, Cueto, Zimmerman could very well be on the market at that point. If the Phillies want to get the best package for him, now would be the time.

What exactly makes Billy Beane the best GM in the game. All of those A's championships?

How about wins per dollar spent? Really, no one is close.

Yeah, I'm sure he feels real happy about giving up Ramirez, Grimm, Edwards, and Olt for a 4-5 record, 4.38 ERA and 1.3 WHIP over 13 starts.

Even if Edwards and Olt do not work out, he gave up two solid late inning arms.

Grimm is no one you worry about

Ramirez' work, while superficially nice, was about as leveraged as could be. We will see how he does if they take the reigns off of him this year.

Grimm was certainly someone to worry about in the second half of last season. He was great.

Ramirez has wicked stuff. He will be fine. He can throw strikes, unlike so many others with great sliders.

The trade isn't anything a GM should lose sleep over in its totality.

The trade took place less than two years ago. Judging any trade where one team receives four guys 24 and under after 18 months is just a folly. Nobody knows that these guys are yet in aggregate.

Look at the Sabathia deal for the Indians. As of 2012 someone would say the Indians got ripped off in the deal, now that it is 2015 and Michael Brantley has been doing all sorts of MVP type things, the deal looks pretty nice.

My company has "vacation days" and "personal days."

It works out nicely this way, for the company and for the employee. No need to lie about anything.

Goddamnit I surely do, but that wasn't the cause of it. Browser tabs are a blessing and a curse.

Olt will be at 3b until Babe Fuckin Ruth appears bout two weeks into 2015 season. Or La Stella.

Dumbest post you have made in a while. Addison Russell will be a cornerstone of Championship Cubs teams. He is not going to be traded.
