Plus the Cubs technically attempted to flank their degrom/scherzer/ "ace" with a quality #2 a la syndergaard/Strasburg and thus far he's managed a combined 6.2IP with 6ER and oh yeah he crapped out last May and idk about y/o/u but all these short outings have me wondering when he's gonna go back on the DL (even if it's just a psychological crutch to try and explain away his sucktitude)

And oh yeah if that little small.to mid market team up 94 gets some pitching they can be scary. And thus it looks like you're prolly playing for a wild card and btw the NL east has the natinals Phillies Mets and braves, all of which are probably better than you. Have fun with that

Carl Edwards Jr now has a 45.00 ERA! Holy shit even for a reliever with a small sample.size that 's pretty Fucking impressive cuz I think it means you average giving up 5 runs.an inning, so that's roughly 1.67 runs per out he records!

But hey let's look at the positives... Both Darvish and Chatwood got their EARs under 10 today (Darvish 8.10 Chatwood 9.82) so when you talk about ~200mil being spent on them you could just play dumb and act like you want to have high ERAs. Maybe there's a metric where we can figure out dollars per out and the Cubs will come out on top.of the league to.vindicate all these rumors and innuendo that they're cheap? Win a few press conferences and you're all good with Dan.Bernstein, and at the end.of the day isn't that what really matters?

I never understood the rationale of taking a pitcher who has trouble throwing strikes and making his delivery more wonky/complicated. And yeah, now you wasted of month in spring training on a move that ended up illegal.
