Hello everyone,

I will not be returning for the spring as I had promised last year.

I have hurt my shoulder and neck and was in the hospital for some time and now am recuperating.

I have also found a lady friend and will be traveling with her to her native Perth, Australia after I heal up.

Haven't watched much baseball but I see the Cubs are sucking. Not surprising as they did nothing but bring back the same bunch of bums from last year. Those guys who had career years wont this year and they'll finish close to the cellar.

It's ok though. We had 2016. And there are more important things in life.

This should be the 2019 Cubs' official slogan a la "The Kids Can Play" or even "All In" for the 2011 White Sox. Methinks this year's official slogan is #EverybodyIn, which I have pointed out is apropos cuz this year's pitching staff sure as he'll isn't getting #EverybodyOut.

Maybe there's still time to cobble together a midseason reunion of the 2016 championship team? Lord knows the Cardinals would probably be quite OK with Dexter Fowler taking a day or two off to take place in the festivities (and prolly see if there's an option for him to stay in Chicago =)
